Picked this game up yesterday on the PS3 for... I think, $78 from JB Hi-Fi. It came with a plastic-paper map of Skyrim, too. I haven't put the controller down. As someone very, very late to the Bethesda party (I'd never heard of the company until I picked up Fallout 3 at Kmart in December of 2009 and, expecting nothing, loved it), this game is amazing. I ended up choosing an Argonian and for some reason starting levelling up Destruction and Restoration.
Many fun hours to come!

Man, still barely touching missions but having fun. I switched to wielding a single hand sword rather than re-rolling and just paying for training to level it up to scratch.
Unfortunately for me I've reached the point where my save is so big that on the PS3 the game turns into a slide show after an hour or two of playing I've found a comment on youtube (I know, I know...) that gives some PS3 settings to change that apparently helps, fingers crossed. Hopefully Bethesda release another patcher soon (I know , I know....) _________________

Level 20, have not seen a single dragon yet. I'm stealing and pickpocketing everything not tied down, and it really has hurt me combat wise. Enemies that are my level take so long or require some serious environment exploitation because my Destruction level is so low. (But at least my Pickpocketing and Lockpicking is high).
Also I'm having a nasty feeling that you can get near 100% magicka reduction. If so, every single one of these levels I've invested in Magicka will be for nothing.
Should of raised Health.

Level 20? You must be exploring and not on the main quest. I think the Dragons start once you get the story going.
I'm level 14 and have killed 3 or 4. _________________ My YouTube game videos!

Once you kill the first dragon I think thats when they start spawning, because I did like 3 quests, and once I killed the dragon I deviated off the main quest line for like the entire 25 hours of my current total play time haha. In that time I must have killed somewhere around 10-20 dragons.
Now level 37 with a full dragon armor set and daedric sword, fully enchanted up the arse and a sexy mage armor set to go with when I feel like playing caster - and only NOW am I touching the main quest again. This game is so expansive, I know I'll definitely start over again due to the perk limit and try something different, and once the mods start rolling in who knows the limits of this game. _________________ xfire = andylulz

So I'm a werewolf now, it's kind of awesome. Just a pain in the arse waiting to turn back into a human (Lizard?) after. _________________

Bah, so apparently the soft level cap is 50, in which you stop gaining perks. Not enough to max all the magic trees!
Still up in the air what the hard level cap is, but from what I gathered from beta testers, its 70, unless they changed it for the official release.
I'm sure a mod will fix that soon.

the only ones I've had problems with are the silver hand dudes with there silver weapons that kill me like a bitch. I use it fighting dragons and bears and it's awesome.
Also got a bow of paralysis wich is fucking hilarious. Hitting a bear and watching it get frozen paralised then tumble down a cliff never gets old. _________________

Hard cap is 81, there is no 'soft cap' on perks as you've described though.
Recently poured through the bethesda forums chasing up an answer to this, and everyone who had levelled past 50 confirmed that they were still getting perks (albeit the levelling is obviously much, much slower, as your dominant skills start getting maxed out and you have to switch to less used skills to continue levelling). _________________

Brilliant. Although knowing the amount of decent games that just got flooded through this months, I'll probably never reach it.

I HATE THE SPIDERS. GOD.
As a horrible arachnophobe even in a game they terrify me to the point of having to move back on my chair and squint my eyes and scroll as far back into third-person as possible, while mashing my spells until they die.
I killed a few just now in a narrow cave area in as I was running through the narrow bit afterward my camera was still in third person for my own sanity, and the camera suddenly zoomed forward because of the narrowness and RIGHT INTO THE LEGS OF A GIGANTIC FROSTBITE SPIDER I'D JUST KILLED. and I squealed. Loudly. Like a scared piggy.
I'm this close to downloading that mod that turns them all into bears. _________________

Is anyone else annoyed by the Quick Keys on the PS3?
I usually have a sword and shield equipped, but I wanted to put a healing spell on my quick key so that I could still hold up my shield in my left hand but cast spells with my right. However when I equip a healing spell to a hotkey(say right on the DPAD), it always uses my left hand and if I then press the hotkey button again(right again) it puts the healing spell on my right hand as well. I'm really confused... _________________

you hit the quick key menu, choose the spell you want and hit L1 to put it on your left hand, then hit circle to back out of the menu. Took me a while to get used to.
Also I'm starting to run into the whole frame rate issue when your save file gets to big. It's getting to be almost unplayable at times. A real fucking pain in the arse. Anyone know anything you can do to fix it on ps3? _________________

I've got a bug. At some stage, probably during a fight, my character has become stuck in the crouch position. Except the game doesn't think I'm crouching, it thinks I'm standing. This leads me to not be able to crouch at all, and when I try to run, he takes like 2 steps then stops.
Does anyone know a fix? I'd hate to lose a couple hours of progress.

Finished the main quest today.
I uh...wow. I don't really have the words for it. I haven't been that epic'd out from a game in a very long time.
Happy to put this right by Dark Souls as its equal this year and gen. Still playing and making a new character too. Amazingness all round. _________________

To be honest I was really disappointed with the main story. I just finished it now and I didn't even realise I had. I went back to Skyhaven Temple after I'd done everything and talked with Esbern and.... whats-her-name; expecting them to give me another quest to do on the main path but I couldn't get anything further out of them. I kind of assumed it was a bug, then I thought back and realised I'd accomplished everything we had set out to do, but it just didn't really feel like I had. I thought it was worse than the Oblivion main story. The last fight wasn't much different from any other dragon fight, for one thing. So there we go, I just finished a game without realising it

I just really dug the fact that it took you to places with so much history behind it. I read a tonne of the books on my travels and explored a lot of the area, so got a tonne out of seeing it all. _________________
