^ I feel your pain Sheeno.
So has anyone confirmed if there are actual references to game three, as in the Arkham City reference in Asylum?

Probably need to have a idea of what Game three might be about to know that. There could be plenty in plain site in stories. _________________

You know even when I first heard it I always thought "Oh what did they just do it?"
Guess that's my dirty mind at work. _________________

When the pc version runs, it runs pretty well . However i am having a tough time with it, firstly AVG picks up Capsule (green man gaming's program to download and play games) as a virus. And thus anything it transfers shows up as a "virus" eg: the Arkham City executeable files. Have googled it and it's not a true virus, but it's just AVG being AVG. Other people who have downloaded from green man gaming, using other virus programs have not had any nasty pop up virus warnings. When it happens my computer decides to run slower (first time i've experienced "slowdown" on this machine).
The game crashes the first time i attempt to play it, it runs through the copyright screen, game developers etc, nvidia logo. But when it gets to the title screen and "press start".... pressing start makes the game crash and return to the desktop. Restarting the game, it plays as normal with no crashes, i am not sure if it's because i'm running 64bit Windows 7, or the way it was downloaded and installed.
After reading about the DX11 issues, i'm only playing using the DX9 mode, and it runs pretty well (highest framerate 100, lowest 75, average 97). That being said it can still chug along at times, during the cut scenes, i've had slowdown and stuttering. One such instance was during the first Batman moment (saying that without spoiling), when you see Batman looking outward, then the camera pans the landscape. It was stuttering a little bit.
It looks fantastic, i just wish i didn't have a headache from getting it to run.

Mine's Win7 x64 runs fine, except DX11 bug which causes 35 FPS at 2560x1600 maxxed with no AA most of the time, so planning to revert to DX9 mode and forego the Tessellation until the patch. _________________

I have tried some of the suggestions online - starting up GFWL first, going into the task manager, right clicking the .exe and only allowing 2 of the processes to run. At first i thought it worked, as it was my "first" attempt at running the game.... i tried the same steps again later on, and the game crashed at the press start screen yet again.
I'm not the only one that is experiencing the crash at the title screen, hopefully it is one of many glitches that gets patched in the not too distant future (fingers and toes crossed of course).

It took me 48 hours to download from Green Man Gaming but it's running well. Sitting on 40 to 50 fps on very high at 1600x900 on my laptop. No physx though. Still, looks quite a bit better than the 360 version to my eyes.

I'm thinking I might wait for the patch that makes Tesselation run well anyway. But I'm not sure if my comp will be able to handle it even when its not bugged. I could run Crysis 2 maxed but tesselation took the frames down too much.
What do you guys think about a 560Ti running tesselation on this game when its fixed? I'll only need 2xAA in 1920x1080 and i'd be happy with 40fps. _________________

Question for people who've finished this.
Is it ABSOLUTELY necessary to play AA before this? I know its a direct sequel but I don't have a problem with reading up on the storyline from the first game.
I've just got a huge backlog and limited time to go through it, so just looking for opinions on this. _________________

I haven't finished AC yet but AA is one of my favorite games of the last 5 years. I'm struggling with a massive backlog as well, but I would still make time for AA if you can.

A quick run through of just the main AA storyline should only take 4-5 hours without any real attempt at riddler trophies and side quests.
However i wouldn't say it is essential - but there are references to it that that you might have trouble picking up on as it dosen't offer any lead in from the other game.

Couple of mentions to the previous storyline, nothing a quick wiki won't fix. _________________

I have done nothing to the game, but it seems to be running fine now. It certainly doesn't stutter like it did, i'm thinking it was just when loading up a new area.... i've since had to back track through several of the previous stuttering spots (not always in the same play through) and it didn't skip or stutter on me.

Mine arrived this morning Does anyone know to turn the Xbox360 gamepad off if we're using Keyboard and Mouse, I actually find this game more natural with KB&M unlike most third person non-shooters. But my gamepad keeps vibrating and I can't stop it, it vibrates against my desk too which is very loud >_< At the moment I just have it dangling off the side of my desk so it doesnt make so much noise _________________

I don't want to do that. Too much effort when im also playing other games that I use it with. Lots of wires at the back of my PC and it all gets tangled. Just some way to disable it in the game would be cool.

I guess it's pretty hard then.
Maybe they'll add it in a patch. _________________

Can always trawl through the config files to find the setting. Though willing to bet it's easier to unplug it or (if it's the model), remove the batteries. _________________

A few days ago Rocksteady decided to release a brand new, totally super sweet, Batman Inc. Batsuit skin for Batman: Arkham City absolutely free.
Download the Batman Incorporated skin for Xbox 360. _________________
