Oh she has her own copy which I got for her birthday and plays while I play and we chat on headset.
It's a great relationship. _________________

dude.... Respect!
OH SHIT I MADE A DRAGON CRASH LAST NIGHT! I didn't even realise I could do that, I shot it in the face as it got ready for a fly by breathing fire, and it just nose dived into the ground, was so awesome. Also impressed that it actually carved up the ground where it it.
Also feel made me feel like a fucking bad arse _________________

I like it that when a dragon is standing in front of me spewing fire I can simply bash it in the face with my shield to make it stop... _________________

I like shouting ice at a dragon when they are spewing fire at me.
Got slighlt bored today so I started modding skyrim. Started with some basic stuff (better sky, moon and blood) but then I tried some graphical changes like AA. The best one was an AMD fix that when I applied made the game run in Ultra and took away some funny mouse problems that I had been having. Fire looks real good now.

It's seriously mind blowing how good this game is. I was very skeptical when they announced it as I was fairly burnt by Oblivion but the game really does live up to its ratings so far and tops Morrowind IMO which is a big thing for me.

I've always wondered this, why all the Oblivion hate?
I've only ever played Oblivion and Skyrim (loved Oblivion, and loving Skyrim), but they're both fairly similar games. Skyrim is better due to its interface and gameplay tweaks, for sure, but I still don't see Oblivion as that far removed. _________________ My Photos

I think most people's problem with Oblivion is that it seemed like a dumbed down version of Morrowind with lots of backward steps in gameplay.
That being said I utterly loved Oblivion from start to finish.

Oblivion biggest flaw is the leveling system. It created a dynamic where nothing changed. There were also a lot of random dungeons. Still I really liked Oblivion.

There were quite a lot of good mods designed to solve the level scaling problem, though. Oblivion was a lot more fun if you did that (although Oblivion gates were still a chore to do). _________________ Twitter | XBL: Tamaaya | PSN: stormo | GameCentre/Steam: StorminNorman

My god the companion AI in this game is fucking rage worthy...
the amount of times this dumb fuck has blocked a doorway, blocked my escape from horrifying creatures, set off a one shot trap while standing next to it and been left a mile behind me when running on normal terrain.
And if i hear her say forlornly that she is sworn to carry my burdens one more fucking time i am going to rip the bitches throat out!

doesn't look like much of a conqueror does he...
i liked oblivion, but it was no morrowind thats for sure, they cut out all the crazy stuff you could do....like my underwear in morrowind was all health regen, i could levitate away from the guards while giving them the finger, my sword summoned skeletons, all sort of mad crap like that was cut from oblivion for a dumbed down version.
IIRC you could wear normal clothes under your armour in morrowind, giving you a far greater range of options when it came to beefing yourself up. _________________ kill, kill, kill.....the white man. Kill the white man, kill

I'll probably pick this up as the holiday season approaches. Thanks to mods being released and updated to this day, I'm STILL playing Morrowind. _________________

I was able to pick up a copy of the PC version of skyrim really cheap. ebay code for steam - $46. Had the code within 2minutes of paypal going through. Seller is gamepassion or something.
Ever since i picked this up I just can't put it down, i feel so bad neglecting BF3/MW3 over a single player game. It's just got so much stuff to see and do!!!
I will be shocked if this isn't GOTY. _________________ XBL - myzz

*cough*Beautiful People mod*cough*
There is almost no major problem with Oblivion that can't be resolved by downloading the appropriate mod.
Well, except for the bloody Oblivion gates. _________________ Twitter | XBL: Tamaaya | PSN: stormo | GameCentre/Steam: StorminNorman

And the fact that you need to download mods to fix the game that was released is exactly whats wrong with it. _________________

Oblivion had a total of 10 NPC's and one landscape. It was just all copy pasta'd to make it look big. The dungeon design wasn't that great either.
Also yes, it was a turd in comparison to Morrowind, which was God-tier. _________________

Plus the design was how I should I put this "dumbed down". Morrowind's philosophy was go get lost and figure it out. Oblivion was aggressive in approachability. Playing Skyrim it's kind of a mix with a bit of Fallout throw in.

I installed this yesterday, used Frozencry's LAA app, picked up an AMD/ATI directx file, tweaked around a bit and.... 20 minutes later... got into the game. Runs smooth as melted butter, looks quite nice (but at times rather bland) but it already has me hooked. The weather effects, the music, how people go about their dailies lives, I wish I lived in Skyrim. The only thing that has stood out thus far is, for the most part, the weightless melee combat. It still feels like I'm slashing air and not through flesh or armour

the more I play this the more I wish other games would do this style of game. (I really can't think of another company doing this kind of RPG)
I would fucking kill for Warcraft 4 to be done in this style of game. _________________

^ I too crave RPGs that use this style. I won't touch RPGs with the dnd style or turnbased style, and I get bored of any kind of top-down style, which makes my possible selections very small at the moment. We really need more first/third person action RPGs that are fun to play as apposed to being based on calculations.

This game is sort of frustrating me(not in a bad way as such) at the moment... I'm basically making zero progess as every time I go to travel to Winterhold I get distracted by yet another unvisited location that appears on my compass...
So last night in my 2 hour session I did about 3 miscellaneous tasks, cleared about 3-4 dungeons but didn't touch any missions whatsoever.
It's going to take me an eternity to get through this game... _________________

People keep talking about this 'story' for the game but I don't know what they're talking about. _________________

Destruction maxed, and now looking for the master spells of Destruction.
I'm also now more a battle mage, as I use conjured weaponry and enchanted magic elven armour to fight head on.
God damned I love this. _________________
