I didn't realise that you got a choice either. I just tried not to get eaten.
I'm playing as a High Elf Archer, with a bit of fireball magic and one handed axe and shield as my backup. Love doing sneak shots.
And I'm learning from Fallout, LOCKPICK, LOCKPICK, LOCKPICK. Getting good at it. Increased my lockpick to 25 already. I like how if your pick breaks your skill increases.
So far, very awesome.

I got married! But I have fallen in love with someone else. I can't seem to find a way to divorce the old one though....besides killing her, but no one else is keen on me after killing her.

It took me a minute to remember I was in the Skyrim thread and not the "What makes you smile thread".
Which is a minute longer than it should have, really. What with the murdering and all. _________________

Does it change anything? I've played through the beginning twice, but I didn't realise you had a choice. I followed the guy into some village, then talked to his uncle. Does it play out the same with if you follow the other guy?

if you follow the guard he asks you to join the imperial army, if you follow the prisoner he asks you to join the resisitance, you can join either one though. _________________

"Things I've punched in Skyrim" would make an awesome tumblr, btw.
Played this game up to the
guys who teach you about the Voice
.
It's a lot better than Oblivion because the world feels so much more alive and varied. Oblivion always felt like the same bit of landscape copy-pasted 100 times and then filled with like 10 people. In this game, the towns feel a lot more populated and active.
Also, NO OBLIVION GATES THANK THE GODS. _________________ Twitter | XBL: Tamaaya | PSN: stormo | GameCentre/Steam: StorminNorman

Probably going to sound like bitching... I like the game so far but the water doesn't react to you or other characters and the flames don't create real time lighting on you or characters.
Minor I know, but disappointing _________________ My YouTube game videos!

This game is pretty good so far, I'm impressed :]
In the intro when I was in line to get executed and the guard said "Wait. You there, step forward..." I instinctively yelled out "IVE SEEN YOU IN MY DREAMS" and was soo disappointed when he hadnt
So far its really easy on normal difficulty. Someone in the first town chased me with a knife for killing a chicken though, overreaction much. I didn't want to kill him because I'm playing a good character so I ran away. I'm playing a female Breton mage who also uses bows and a sword sometimes, so kind of a balanced character. and the fighting works so much smoother than Oblivion.

I eat chicken in real life and I'm a good person and I did take the chicken breast!! Killing one of his chickens might have been a bad thing but I dont think it warranted him attempting to murder me!! I would been happy to write a formal apology
btw you can have gay marriages in this game, I don't think its really taking time period mindsets into account

About 6-7 hours in now I think. Joined the companions, killed a dragon and basically looted everything I can. I'm rolling a Nord dual fire mage where I usually sneak around getting off a sneak arrow to start the battle before lighting up whatever's in the way. Just zap and your dead. Changed the difficulty to Expert after I it was a tad easy. I'm not sure I totally like the UI design. Some parts of it are just hard to deal with. After playing through for a while and it still feels like I have done nothing in the game. Just hit level 5 and I'm not using perks much. This game is going to be massive if it follows the same pattern.

Hmm, this game and Zelda/Dark Souls at the same time.
Plus side is that I won't have to buy another game for a long time.

Just got this for $68 or something at JB today but they had a collectors in the back but said it was a pre-order special only. After seeing how unreal the collectors look - I am trying to find one. Anyone know where I could one at a reasonable price?

Currently at Winterhold college learning more magic stuff. Can one shot almost everything with my firebolt and ice shard now. I actually had an awesome bug where I fired an ice shard and it blew back the character so hard that they ended up being almost completely naked, but still lootable with their gear. Was random but hilarious. Also female so fap.
Also the questline for Winterhold is pretty awesome so far. Dual wield destruction magick owns so god damned hard. Oh and shouts! More acquired. I can do many cool things. _________________

Edit: okay someone already beat me to the bucket trick =P
Did this work in Oblivion? I remember stealing stuff was pretty easy if you just put things into a bucket and took it around the corner out of sight. _________________

Apparently if you throw items into a crowded area, the NPC's will rush over to take them and fight each other. And someone said they dropped a piece of armour, someone came up and asked if they could have it, he said yes and they equipped it. So amazing! I'm going to love this game, haven't had much of a chance to play it yet. So looking forward to getting into it!

Just killed my third dragon. I had a companion with me and it was at a guard post so an easy fight. Used my poisoned bow to make it really susceptible to magic and after that Dragon Roasting Time. After the fight though a giant attacked me. During that fight a bunch of necromancers also joined in but the giant accidentally got them while he was trying to kill me. Currently doing the Witerhood questline and buying houses.

Waiting for my copy from OzGameShop.. hoping my PC will run it.. only got a Radeon 5770.. but it certainly would be a worthy game to upgrade the GPU for.. just that I have the wedding coming up and I don't think my fiancee would appreciate me spending $200 for a new card. hehe _________________

The most amazing thing just happened, still can't get over it.
Maybe mild spoilers:
I wasn't aware dragons roamed the wild yet and I was just casually visiting my wife at Shor's Stone.
As I walked out of our house, "ROAAAAAAAAAAAR" and what do I see? A DRAGON ON MY ROOF!
me and the whole town took it down, but wow, just wow. _________________

Yeah, I just had my first random dragon encounter. It was near a small town, so I wasn't going it alone, but my companion was killed fairly quickly. Or ran away, either way, he was gone.
We were busy slowly wearing it down with arrows fired from a safe distance when a bear appeared. Shortly after killing the bear, something attacked me from behind and killed me. Goddamn sabretooth tiger.
Fucking love this game.

Dragons are such push overs with these magic spells. I shout, dual chain lightning them and dual fireball them to oblivion.
Fucking hell this game knows how to demonstrate immense power. I feel like God. _________________
