Holy crap, just loaded up multiplayer.
What have they done with the graphics?
Are they set to off or something, because I maxxed it out, and it looks to be upscaling the 3d elements from 720p and stretching it to fit 2560x1600... _________________

65% of people playing Mass Effect 2 played as the Soldier, and 80% played as male.
That's a lot of people playing the game wrong.
This is a statistics thread right?

that's pretty damn accurate i would say, i took a gamble with an overseas friend and brought it suffice to say iv berly touched it
its funny how this works tho , the more populer titles get less game time in SP but some of the smaller titles might get more play thros of SP as the person who picked the game up did so with the intention of completing it. _________________

I play CoD just for the story! Well, not the story per se, but the single player campaign. It's just so epic.
Have zero interest in the MP.

Fixed the issue, see that advanced setting second to bottom, image quality? Extra is not the very highest setting, native is, once I corrected that it is all good. Still a stupid default setting, and if that was supposed to be the setting above high quality, I'd hate to see what low looks like. _________________

I hope they don't randomly kill off every single main character again. It was impactful in MW1 with the American dude, but they just went stupid with it in MW2 and I just had to roll my eyes every time it happened. _________________

Battlefield 3 players and trolls most likely. People think that just because the game runs on the same engine as the other 2, which means similar graphics, that it's fair to say it's 'the exact same game'.
It's a real world shootan war game, not some fantasy title where at any moment something completely crazy could happen which sets it apart from it's previous iterations.
| Quote: | Its good to call attention to the metacritic rating of MW3. Mostly to prove the fact that some gamers are irrational, unfair, and simply looking to cause as much "damage" as possible to the game franchise in question.
I understand the concerns many have about the lack of originality. I agree that IW should have taken bigger steps for this iteration, but to rate a quality game a 0 shows a completely schewed bias against it. All this really proves to me is that user ratings on metacritic are basically worthless.
There are a few good points made, but if those good points are combined with a 0 rating, then the entire argument is moot in my opinion, because the user either does not understand the rating rules or refuses to adhere to them.
This is not an issue of reviewers missing something that regular gamers see...this is an issue of gamers taking their biased view to the extreme. People looking to buy the game based on the ratings will immediately see the flaws in metacritics user ratings and only focus on the critical reviews, which are MUCH MUCH more helpful and informative, with much less of a bias. Metacritic is in one sense the best way to aggregate ratings, but in the other, more democratic sense, it is a big bowl of falsehoods, contradictions and vitriol.

LOL, not that surprising considering it was posted pretty much everywhere (whirlpool, ozbargain, etc, just to name a few). "Quick everyone run down to Harvey Norman pick up Infamous 2 for $46 and trade it in to JB Hifi for COD:MW3".
JB must now have a crap load of Infamous 2 now. _________________

Almost level 40 so far and impressions so far are...positive.
I actually prefer this to BF3, even if that game has dedicated servers on PC and the better visual detail, and the primary reason is stability and generally tighter gameplay mechanics. While the game runs on the IWNet system which I'm not too big a fan of, most of the time it actually runs pretty smoothly save for a handful of laggy games because the host won't stop his porn torrents. Hit registration is significantly better than DICE's implementation, and the game simply responds extremely well.
Also, it has some really nice map design, albeit inconsistent at points. Some maps are fairly complicated and have plenty of choke points, so it adds a lot more strategy to the gameplay with movement and cover, and there's about 2 or 3 which are an absolute clusterf*** because the colour palette allows for blending of certain teams and there's just too much crap littered around the place, so visibility is insanely annoying lest you've got thermals.
Perk systems have been streamlined and tightened up a LOT more as opposed to MW2's overpowered nonsense, so most will give you only a slight advantage with specific situations rather than insane steamroll advantages. Killstreaks as well have been toned down a lot making it more infantry centric, so turdy players can't really gain huge rewards for getting lucky.
I dunno, it just plays well. It's not particularly fit for competitive play and it still has quite a low skill ceiling, and damage is far higher than previous iterations so hardcore would be stupid, but it's fun to play and that's really the gist of it.
Dunno, while BF3 has a lot of cool content and massive scale, the tech stuff really drives me up the wall as hit rego, to me, is the most important aspect that you need to get right in a shooter, and DICE just fail so hard in that area.
Anyone wants to play some games on PC lemme know. _________________

Once it gets posted on Whirlpool, Ozbargain, Ecogamer, etc, etc, you'll know that some form of corrective action will be taken _________________

Beat the campaign. Pretty much enjoy every CoD campaign and this was one of the better ones. Fitting conclusion.

Sleight Of Hand is useful, but I think not being seen by Air Support is pretty damn better. |
I just find sleight of hand is really good, considering how fast you die in this.
I've actually be playing around with the specialist perks and come with a pretty good set up for fast points in Kill Confirmed.
extreme conditioning/hardline/dead silence/sleight of hand/ scavenger/assasin
I'm loving this game. I honestly didn't think they could do it, but wow, they did an awesome job with the MP. It's essentially the same as the other COD's, but they've added enough different features to freshen it up abit. It has the addictive feel to it, which the past few COD's where missing.
Great maps, some changes with the level up system and some new game modes make this is a winner for me. It still has it bad points that plague past COD games, but thats to be excepted.
Certainly alot better than MW2. _________________
