Lets get back to the games!
So which game in your possession is the most obscure? Ones you rarely hear about or very few people got their hands on. Forgotten old games or games that no one else cared about?
Mine is proberly
Its not exactly rare though, going for about $35 or less via import http://www.gamecafe.com.au/GamePrices.aspx?p=All&Search=agarest but despite being a PAL copy on a current system neither JBs, EBs or Game have it in their systems (and therefore refuse to accept as a trade in) and thus remains sealed on my shelf forever...... _________________

Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land - PS2 game.
The best dungeon crawler game on any console by a landslide. It came out early in the PS2 life cycle and didn't get too much attention/advertising.
It had a creepy, depressing atmosphere. Game play was solid taking on a traditional dungeon crawler formula and expanding upon it in an appropriate way.
I think I want to start it up again now.

For me, I think it's the PAL version of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, although it's an EU version from eBay so it's probably not all that rare. I think there was only a few hundred copies available in Australia though.
Speaking of Nippon Ichi, I also have the Aussie versions of Phantom Brave and Makai Kingdom, both I think would be pretty hard to find now. _________________

Probably a few games from my PAL PS2 collection
- Wild Arms 5 LE (LE only came out in France, game itself was never released here in AUS)
- Raw Danger! (ITA)
- Le avventure di Lupin III: Lupin la morte, Zenigata l'amore (ITA only)
- In fact, a lot of 505 games (Google their company - they release a lot of obscure shit, especially on PS2) _________________

Demolition Girl
Basic story is a bikini model gets zapped by aliens and turned giant, it's your job to take her down by piloting your badly controlling chopper, tanks etc by targetting her weak points, like her butt and boobs.
The insanity of the game is only matched by it's shittyness.
It's really bad.
Not sure how rare it is, the only reason most people never heard of it is cause it sucks. If you want to talk rare though, my rare one of a kind signed copy of Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts by none other then Infested Jibbs. _________________

Quickly looking through my accessible collection (many of my games are stacked up, blocking access to a few wardrobes/shelf or are in storage), and after some careful thought, a few of my obsure games are shown below:
Finder Love Limited Edition: Risa Kudo Version
Finder Love Limited Edition: Aki Hoshino Version
I'm only missing the Fumina Hara Version
I bumped into this game just after it was released for sale and missed out on picking up the Limited Editions (which sold out quickly in Japan) but I was fortunate to pick up the above two through ebay about a year later.
...just having a look on ebay now I see there is the Fumina Hara Limited Edition for sale...guess I'll have to pick that up now...
and something a bit more PG rated...
Final Fight 3
Mega Man 7
Mega Man X2
Mega Man X3
I would put Final Fantasy III in the list but it isn't as rare as these 4 games.
I thought I'd also include my NeoGeo Pocket games as they're quite obsure (in my opinion ). They're all PAL format in the clamshell boxes. The game that took the longest to obtain was the King of Fighters R1.
I've actually not looked at this collection of mine in almost 4 years now (the photos were taken from back then).
NOTE: I wasn't trying to collect all the games and was only looking for the ones I wanted. The only thing that I'm missing (to make me happy) is the limited Samurai Showdown NeoGeo Pocket set. It's basically nothing more then a standard NeoGeo Pocket with a japanese Samurai Showdown game, but I thought it'd be cool to add to my collection.

I don't think I have anything particularly obscure. I have some rare-ish stuff for sure, but nothing no-one would've heard of. I guess the most obscure stuff I have would be my small amount of JP games, like Rhythm Tengoku(GBA), Twinkle Star Sprites La Petite Princesse(PS2), Policenauts(Saturn) and a whole heap of Super Robot Wars games across multiple platforms.
Like Sey, I also have a Neo Geo Pocket, but I only have a few games that are boxed (some of the more choice fighting games on the console, Card Fighters & Metal Slug 2). My most obscure collection is probably my PAL Saturn stuff. I managed to get a hold of most of the choice PAL games that were released and have some of the rarer stuff. Dragon Force, Keio 2, House of the Dead, Burning Rangers, Guardian Heroes, Resident Evil along with some of the fighters like Marvel, Darkstalkers and some Street Fighters.
Actually, my most obscure game is probably this:
Touch de Rakushou! Pachinko Sengen: Rio de Carnival. It's a crappy slot machine simulator with some 'suggestive' themes. It also came with some stickers to customise your DS with a Rio theme.

I had that, but threw it in a charity bin last year as I figured no-one would ever want to buy it. My mum bought it for me for $5 back in the 486 days because it had the word 'manga' on the cover. _________________

My favourite JRPG, never released in PAL regions. I managed to get a second hand copy of the black label edition in very good condition on eBay. It's available on the US PSN store for $10 USD which is a bargain. _________________

505 Games/Gamestreet right here people.
They've released some great PAL RPGs and SHMUPS though
- Ar Tonelico + Atelier Iris
- Raiden 3
But the rest of their catalogue is mostly horrendous and normally unavailable/hard to find in AUS. _________________

Apparently this game isn't as rare as you'd think. I found a copy of it in a Savers for like $5 a couple of years ago. It's actually by the same guy that did Goku Midnight Eye and Space Adventure Cobra.
As for obscure stuff...
Well, I have an actual Saturn copy of Radiant Silvergun, although the rarity of that is debatable.
I have original PS2 versions of Dodonpachi DaiOuJou, ESPGaluda and the collectors edition (i.e. the one that goes for $200+ on eBay) of Mushihimesama as well. They were never released outside of Japan.
I have all the locally released PS2 Nippon Ichi games too.

That game was like everywhere for a few years. I have a couple of the D3 Publisher/Simple 2000 games, including Double Shienryu (which was released as "Steel Dragon EX" for some reason) and The Oneechanbara (released here as "Zombie Zone"). I'm kind of bummed that The Maid Clothes And Machine Gun never made it to Australia though.
Does Skies of Arcadia count as obscure? I have both the PAL Dreamcast and PAL Gamecube versions of that game. I've been told that less than a thousand copies of the GC version made it into the country. _________________ Twitter | XBL: Tamaaya | PSN: stormo | GameCentre/Steam: StorminNorman

'Rarity' and 'Desirability' are two very confused terms when it comes to collecting. _________________

HERZOG ZWEI!!!!
Reminds me of the days me and friends escaped from schools during lunch-break and went "game console cafe" where we rent genesis by the hour. This was one of our favourite games _________________ 「貧乳はステータスだ!希少価値だ!」 - 泉 こなた

I have some other Genesis pearlers, but that's the first one that sprung to mind.
Although not obscure, I absolutely adore ToeJam & Earl... that game rocks.

Obscure? Ok.
You won't see many of these around! I have an actual working console, too. _________________
