Missed? Ha, you mean avoided. I just wanted to do a fun playthrough without having to worry about any side events. Plus, I beat Evil Face, so there. It's too bad that there's no trophy for that (well, I suppose Melvia's kind of counts). |

Perhaps ignored was a better word to use. _________________

You choose the winner of the festival and get unique dialogue, I chose Rorona coz her swimsuit looked the best but in my ng+ I'll do Cordelia for the lolz. Or maybe Filly but she'll probably just faint instead of saying anything.
edit: alright I cbf doing anymore of this spring cup method of making money I'll just carry 150 000 cole into NG+ and let the chim make stuff for the last 350k _________________

Is it good to look at trophy lists before playing a game so you know which side quests to go after, or is it spoilery? _________________

I forgot all about it as I skipped through Peter's dialogue as his voice was insane. By the time I got reminded I recruited most people but Rorona said no xD;
The fact you've seen how little trophies I have is embarrassing. I only recently swapped over from 360 :3
I'm going to play Ico now . _________________

Totori's trophy lists have spoilers but if you don't look at it you'll have to do a NG+ for the true ending. Also try not to look anything up on youtube, I saw the true ending image on the youtube sidebar 'recommended videos' I hate that :/
In case you guys can't be bothered getting true ending it looks like | Quote: | | Gisela is alive and she returns to Totori's home!!!, she's like the coolest character in the game |

I blitz through about 1/3 of NG+ in Totori. So easy when you one hit kill everything. In the first year I got some different events - event dialogue changes depending on whether you are at rorona's atelier or totori's at the time. It's also nice to finally trigger Mimi's main missable flags. It ended up being really similar to Rorona and Cordelia's main event in the previous game. _________________

| Quote: | Yakuza 5 - New Game Details
Yakuza Studio head Toshihiro Nagoshi held his “Nagonama” live broadcast on Nico Nico Douga, earlier today, where he shared new information about Yakuza 5, as well as other, more personal things.
Yakuza 5, said Nagoshi, is set in two cities: Kamurocho, and another city, whose possible candidates are Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka. He wouldn’t share information on the game’s number of playable characters–he would not rule out the possibility of either one, or multiple characters.
Kazuma Kiryu, Yakuza frontman and series protagonist, will be the main character. A Yakuza without Kazuma is like a Super Mario Brothers game without Mario, said Nagoshi.
Like Yakuza games before it, Yakuza 5 will have a hostess component. Though, they haven’t decided on whether they’ll hold auditions again.
Nagoshi wants to create a “zero chapter” to the series, set in the Tojo Clan’s past.
In other, more Nagoshi-personal details, he revealed his favorite vegetable is tomatoes, he likes gummy candy, is confident in his singing talent, and sleeps with his cat. |
So much for wrapping up the story of Kiryu. Not that I'm complaining I guess, I just want Yakuza 5! _________________

Woohoo, I love Yakuza. You know... they should remake 1 and 2. And if possible, I trust those guys enough, try to make Shenmue 3.

guys, i'm hitting a wall on my RPG career. lately i have found nothing that holds my interest for extended periods of time, i get like 5 hours in and just can't be bothered.
nothing has been as good as when i replayed FF9 last year. bioware RPG's just haven't been like KOTOR.
here's where i need your help. it seems most of the great JRPG's (which i prefer to western, for reasons i won't bore you with) are on the PS3 and the sony consoles before it, but i play on the 360. there are a few that i have seen around the net, but i haven't heard any definite suggestions. so, any recommendations? _________________ GT: chunged

you're going to have to invest in a wii and xenoblade i think =p PS3 JRPGs are very niche, you have to be an absolute JRPG-obsessive-introverted-anime-nut like me to have a chance at enjoying them =) This is like my 12th year in JRPG gaming so yeah. _________________

As Oropher said, the JRPGs on the PS3 are for a very niche type of gamer. You'll either like them or not. I'd recommend checking out Atelier Totori or the Disgaea series. Dark Souls is more mainstream and western (it's a Japanese developed game though) and should appeal to most people, it's a brilliant game too.
To be honest though, the best JRPGs are on the PS2, DS and to a lesser extent the PSP. Have a look at Persona 4 or Devil Survivor on the DS. Both are amazing games that eclipse anything on the current gen consoles in my opinion.

Pretty sure those sites go on US prices. Both those games only got a limited run in the US (and only in the big-box collector's edition) and haven't been reprinted yet so they're currently pretty expensive, if they get reprinted the price will go right down - cf. Radiant Historia. I hang out at CAG a lot (well, lurk) and was surprised to see the prices of those games on there, but it seems the NTSC versions are much more expensive than the PAL ones. _________________

I'm in a similar boat. Try giving Eternal Sonata a try . Hope it clicks with you the same way it did for me. _________________

I second Tales of Vesperia. What a beautiful game.
I've been playing ICO but stopped as ICO killed himself. How frustrating. I hope the game is rewarding. I'm only playing it for the sake of beating it now. I think I'm possibly close to half way :l _________________

Do not be frustrated
It's a very short game, please do not show anger towards it
The ending, is worth it
embrace the experience for it is unlike anything you will ever have
Become the boy with the horns, live in the game
forgive the dramatic nature of this post, but words cant express how this game truly moved me back then _________________

Your posts amaze me :')
It's just the controls that annoy me but I can forgive it as the game is fairly old.
The scenery is still beautiful though.
So there's story? There's been hardly any story so far. Just some chick being like 'Oi mate that's my daughter'
But I'll keep going later today . _________________

try to understand the bond between the boy and the girl, it's not something I can make you understand or force you to. It needs to be experienced.
The bond between them spoke volumes to me, and for the lack of a better way of saying it... it felt very real to me.
The narration in ICO (and SOTC for that matter), is without words and yet it touched me like no other game. It's a narration that needs to be experienced, you have to put yourself in the shoes of the character and try and connect with the context.
I hope at some point the experience clicks with you, dig in deep my friend. _________________

The moment Ico 'clicked' with me was during a certain scene on a bridge...it was as if the game turned from a cool little action-adventure game to an emotional experience rarely felt in gaming.
I say stick with it too _________________
