Best Exclusive of 2011

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd refuel this debate because we're getting so close to the end of the year and most of us will start formulating our Game of The Year lists.

If you had an award for Best Platform Exclusive, what would it be?

I'm hoping mine's Uncharted 3, but at the mo it is definitely Gears of War 3 or inFamous 2

It's a little premature, we have an uncharted, zelda and mario game all comming out next month. And the old republic is december and then isn't twisted metal december too?

Why platform exclusive though? There's a horde of multiplat games out that are awesome.

We should have a GOTY discussion before the other big games come out. Mine would be Bastion or Portal 2. Both great games

Think I'll go with Xenoblade. It's one of the most innovative RPGs of the current gen, and it's on the most unlikely system (Wii). Not to mention that a whole continent is missing out on it...now that's a super exclusive.

My GOTY so far....Hmmm...Arkham City surprisingly, I didn't expect it to be when I bought it, but wow. Other then that I can't remember what else came out this year...L.A. Noire was pretty good too. Portal 2 is definately a runner up.

To jog your memmory.

Without taking into account what's comming out in november (my GOTY will almost certainly be a tie between AC revelations and Saints row 3)

My best exclusive and GOTY would both be Ghost Trick. That game was fucking amazing and gorgeous and funny and clever and fucking everything I want in a game.

There's been so many great games this year, they all kind of blend into one tasty awesome-smoothie. Trying to choose the one game that I enjoyed the most is seriously tough. I'm with Benza though, Ghost Trick was pretty damn great.

Right now I'd say Deus Ex is my GOTY, but I fully expect Dark Souls to eclipse that once it frigging arrives.

As for exclusives? I'd probably have to give that to The Witcher 2

The Witcher 2 for me although it won't be an exclusive for much longer.

GOTY so far would be a very close tie with Xenoblade Chronicles and Dark Souls.

Gears of War 3 so far, but I expect Uncharted 3 to topple it.

Deus Ex is my GOTY, but there's still plenty of good stuff to come out.

So far the best exlusive for me is Yakuza 4.I only own 2 PS3 exlusives from this year, the other being LBP2.

My GOTY will VERY likely be SR3.

Not going to comment on "exclusives" until Uncharted 3 comes out.

My GOTY so far is Portal 2 (could easily be beaten by either Uncharted 3 or SR3, and there are a bunch of other awesome looking games on the way). Also, can I count Okamiden as my DS game of the year (marginally ahead of Ghost Trick)? It was technically released in 2010 in Japan, but in the Western World it's a 2011 game.

Other games up there among the best this year (in no particular order) are MvC 3, Catherine, and Limbo (if I can count that, it was released on PSN this year and I don't run steam or have an Xbox).

I can only comment on games I've played, unfortunately. There are many games that simply got skipped because of the sheer quantity of quality titles this year.

I hoping Zelda is mine, if we're talking end of year games.

Otherwise, eh. Portal 2, The Witcher 2, Shadows of the Damned and Deus Ex are multiplat (the former will be, at least). Xenoblade is the only known exclusive that blew me away.

Xenoblade Chronicles is mine. I'd say Dark Souls but that's multiplat.

I'm keeping very very wary of Zelda: Skyward Sword. I greatly hope it will blow me away, but I'm still cautious due to the tried and true blueprint of Ocarina of Time that Nintendo have been drawing upon for the last 10 years.

There's definitely an awesome list. If we're talking downloadables it is a strong tie between Bastion and Journey for me.

I love this topic because it's always overshadowed by GOTY and I find is sometimes harder to pick

hmm well out of the games I have played I would say it is a toss up between
Killzone 3 & Gears 3
I would have to say KZ3 though, still play it and have kind of lost interest in Gears.
But i think by the end of the year Uncharted 3 may take my vote!

My personal favourite is Disgaea 4. The new online features and HD graphics are amazing.

For 360, Forza 4.
