Do you use a free account or a paid account?
And what type of speeds and ping do you typically get? _________________

I think the 360 with the HD pack looks quite good actually considering it is running on ancient hardware. The non-HD pack looks butt ugly though - if you didn't have a HDD on your 360 you would be getting one just so you could install the pack.
Luckily im getting it on the PC

Paid my preorder off at EB, would be excited for Thursday but I won't get a chance to touch it for the next month. It'll just be staring me down every time I walk past. _________________

Reviews are flying out. Mostly 9's, some 9.5's. Though apparently the story sucks balls and SP is kinda boring.
Also, it worries me to hear that there are still a tonne of hit rego bugs and other things. We'll see post midnight tonight then when I VPN unlock with A13x. _________________

i have wondered since seeing the launch trailer. is there a singleplayer story? no bf games have sp, well not very good anyway, so does it have something along the lines of a cod sp mode? _________________ GT: chunged

console footage is nice , looks alot better then fire storm to , but i do miss the destruction that BFC had i cant help but feel that alot of it in 3 is mostly cosmetic .... _________________

isn't the destruction more in 3 then in bad company? Like you can actaully take down entire buildings instead of just walls and shit? _________________

isn't that entire sky scraper collapsing in the single player based on their destruction engine?
I think the difference is in BF 3 it's a more natural destruction thing, like you actually have to take out the supporting structures to get it to fall in on itself instead of like in that BFC 2 video where the building just hits an arbitaray health limit and pops.
Also yeah you wouldn't have seen any videos of people mucking around with the destruction engine in a multiplayer campaigne since the game isn't actually out yet. _________________

I am 100% sure they said it was there at e3....Ok maybe 99% sure but I remember going 'cool that's a nice bonus'. _________________

From what I can tell you're not going to be able to completly level every building, ones that would completly fuck up how a map plays for instance.
But you can with others? So uh... that's pretty confusing actually.
That said I don't really consider being able to take the entire front off of a building exposing everyone inside to any fire from tanks, infantry, etc as 'purley cosmetic' _________________

it was the same with BFC2 its just you could blow off more then 1 side and pending on were you aimed you could blow off the entire front , from what i can tell its mostliy scale changes , the one buliding that you could level in the beta i think was a tiny shed lol _________________

Just saw this on Whirlpool:
| Quote: | HOW TO USE A PROXY TO UNLOCK BF3 (NO VPN NEEDED)
Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN Settings -> Tick "Use a proxy for your LAN") -> Address: 210.107.100.251 Port: 8080
Or use one of them on here; http://www.xroxy.com/proxy-8080--KR-nossl.htm |
Worked for me, so there's no need for a VPN if you don't have one. Just apply the proxy to unlock then remove it after and you're good to go. _________________
