^ Hey Stoneroth, how playable (and enjoyable) is the Japanese version of Catherine?
How good is your Japanese? are you able to enjoy the story?
The only way I can play Catherine on my Japanese 360 is by importing the Japanese language version, all the other versions are region locked. _________________

The story is a very big part of Catherine so I think you'll be missing out on a fair bit. It's split up into two sections, the nightmare puzzle stages and then the time spent at the bar which is mostly talking to Vincent's friends and other patrons, texting Catherine or Katherine and making choices that will affect the story. Gameplay wise there's really nothing to it, everything is explained in pictures and videos so it'll be easy to grasp in Japanese.

Haha, I actually don't know any Japanese yet, but I'm rarely a fan of English dubs.
I still really loved playing Catherine in Japanese, the voice acting is absolutely brilliant and really creates a great atmosphere. I still understood the jist of what was going on with the main characters.
However, there are bar scenes which are dialogue intensive, questions where the answers affect the story (there's a meter which goes from red to blue, one answer is red and one is blue) and text messages which you can reply to.
The bar scenes are there to add depth to the characters but you don't miss out on any major points. I just had to use a bit of guesswork

^Interesting, I notice you buying Japanese versions of RPGs, like Dark Souls
I own a couple of Japanese versions (Grandia and Panzer Dragoon Saga for Saturn, and Metal Max 3 on DS) at some point I need to muster up the motivation to play with a guide on hand! _________________

I couldn't pass up on Catherine with Japanese voice acting when I discovered that the US version didn't even have an option.
The Japanese Dark Souls is more of a collectors item than a game to me, it came with a nice soundtrack and a map/poster, as well as getting to play the game two weeks earlier. The cover art is far superior too. (I'm also just a massive Demon's Souls fanboy haha)
I do plan on learning Japanese as I love anime and Japanese video games, but I've just been lazy in starting.

^^ i'm glad we are all too mature to comment on that cod piece.......
So I'm up to the final boss (chaos) in stange journey, but hopelessly underleveled it seems. Advice on the the best grinding spot for XP (or $ so I can buy a coded summons)?? _________________

Do you have the app for finding the strongest monsters? At the end of Sector H (IIRC) that can be used to great effect. If not Surt in Sector H is good.
I can not help with the boss, I did neutral path instead. _________________

I could never beat that boss. I know I can do it but I always got unlucky with some instant death attack. After 10 tries I threw in the towel...

Final boss (chaos) is absolutely brutal. Unfortunately I can't recall my MC's build and items. If you feel like the battle is impossible with your own demons, then I recommend getting password demons. An FAQ on GameFAQs had some, I got two of those after grinding money.
I will say this, even with password demons, the boss is always a close fight that requires an adaptive strategy (damn one shot moves).
I'm sure you know this from previous battles but having your chaos demons as your main members help. Good Luck

^ Ohhh the package looks pretty decent. I'll probably get it sometime later in the future when money is my friend again.
I'd probably never wear that shirt (or gaming shirts in general out in public) but would so frame that just cause it's looks bad ass. _________________

So two new characters have been confirmed for the new Persona Fighting game, both being Persona 3 characters. Mitsuru and Akihiko.
Low Quality image incoming:
I personally haven't played P3, so I have no idea who they are, but yeah, new characters! _________________

It's Akihiko and Mitsuo. Both are the oldest members from SEES. It would have been cool if they included Shinjiro.

They ought to have all party members from both games really. While it wouldn't put me off buying the game if some characters from P3 were left out, it'd feel incomplete to me. _________________

^ Yeah, but it was one of the most logical choices. Personally I'm happy Chie is in
Looks like there's only room for 2 more then with 8 confirmed based on the character select screen. Wish there was more since there's so many more characters from the P3 and P4 roster. Hoping P3 main and Shinji make it in... other ones that would be nice to have more unusual characters like Koromaru too. Seriously hoping that there's more than 10 as it seems a bit limited... _________________ Recently Finished: Legend of Heroes - Trails in the Sky (8/10)
