Not sure if want. Found the beta mostly balanced with its damage modeling system and there were no real stand out OP things apart from the UMP-45. Hardcore will be all one shot but I hate Hardcore, not my style of play.

I want them to fix the hit registration first rather than focus on making it feel like BC2. Hell, I don't want a Bad Company 3, I want a Battlefield 3. The game is still full of tactics and frantic firefights, you just have to not be an idiot and learn to move appropriately when under fire. Damage modeling is fine imo, fix the fucking hit rego and bugs, THOSE are the problems.

Hardcore will take 3 bullets from an assault rifle at point blank to kill, so it doesn't sound too bad? Weapons do 50% more damage, so it should still be a lot of fun without dying instantly.

Denny I don't think it's hit detection that your having problems with. The shooting in this is odd in that where you are aiming is not where the bullet goes unless your standing still.

After playing some more BFBC2 today I'm not sure where I stand. BF3 feels a lot more visceral and damaging, while BFBC2 is a lot more tactical. Either way I don't have a problem, it's map design and feeling like a BF game that I am worried about.

@jarrod- im guessing hes referring to the console as i can relate to exactly what hes refering to its true what you said but the way it plays out is completely different

Getting kind of annoyed at this limited edition. I could pre-order at EB, but I don't want to pay $110 and I don't know if they'll match prices. I don't know if Big W will sell the limited edition on launch, and if I buy online I won't get it until after the weekend. Might just have to end up paying $110, don't think I've ever paid that much for a game :\

I'm in the same boat as you Gecko, I just assumed the limited edition would be the only edition available at launch, kinda like the Crysis 2 Limited Edition.

JB have it for $99 though, might be $89 at launch, they tend to do it cheaper

That's what I thought, but then there are a lot of people saying it is pre-order only. And I don't really want to take the risk of not being able to buy the limited edition at all. I guess I could always pre-order it at EB, see if they'll match Big W's price or if Big W are selling the limited edition on launch and cancel the pre-order. Worst case I end up paying $20 more, which isn't much considering how much I'm going to end up playing this.

i ordered from game.com.au for $98 i know its not the cheapest but they ship it the day before launch and i get them on time.
just another option to be sure you get the limited edition.
