Student numbers for Geography and languages have completely plummeted across the state. A few years ago there were two thousand year 12 students doing each, now they're in the mid-low hundreds. Christ, my career as a teacher is over before I've even started uni.

Mostly agree. Honestly, they couldn't have done much more with Dragonball: Evolution. The problem with live-action is that it's much harder to suspend your belief when watching actual people compared to animation, which means far-fetched stories like Dragonball will just look stupid. If it was animated, the same story would actually look pretty good.

There are, of course, exceptions. Most of these are based on comic books, which usually try and keep relatively sane/realistic anyway (when compared to other forms of animation, especially anime).

At first it was basically 3 frames a minute. Installed the update, updated drivers, I can now "play" the game but it has massive stuttering every 5 seconds.

Using an AMD card which I think is my main problem.

I had the same issue, try this link;
http://forum.guru3d.com/showthread.php?p=4122118
Some other tweaks there too.

To help your case out specifically,
"Go to catalyst control center 3d aplication settings and Catalyst AI set it to performance mode."
They have steps to terminate the CCC and MOM processes. I did both, with them enabled and disabled, didn't notice a difference.

Hope it helps.

That was an API monitoring problem for me. If you have any third party software in the background that does any kind of monitoring, similar to something like RadeonPro, turn it off.

That's not it at all.

The massive difference and what accounts for the quality disparity between the two is simple.

Dragonball Evolution took
A director who had basically only done TV stuff, a writer who had two other writing credits to his name for shitty direct to DVD stuff. And filled it with a cast of TV no bodies (And chow yun fat slumming it) headed by a guy who has such a massive career that He doesn't even have a profile pic on imdb

And turned out a movie of the exact quality you would expect from the people that went into it.

Compare that to something like The X-men, the movie that broke comic book films into the mainstream and revived them from the absolute dreck of the 90's.

X-men took
The writer/director of The Usual Suspects wich has won more awards then I can be botherd counting, Solid Snake, and then put them together with a cast including two heavy weight shakespearian actors, oscar winners, and starring one of the most multi tallented actors in hollywood today.

And surprise surprise the movie they made was good. I mean shit you put Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart in a room and turn on a cammera and anything you get is going to be fucking amazing anyway.

It would not be hard to make a good DBZ movie, but fuck you need to give it a chance. Evolution never had one.

The first X-Men is still my favourite. The whole Wolverine and Rouge chemistry was amazing and Jackman was really charismatic. Shame Superman was a disaster.

Man the Avatar Airbender movie completely damaged my senses on all levels including emotionally and spiritually....and physically.

I honestly have no trouble saying the director has lost all talent, most possibly buried under his ego is the kind of vibe I get.

I mean...**** you nickelodeon..I know there's money to be thought about, but even if you spent millions or whatever, how can they let so many loving fans be subjected to that piece of shit.

I maintain that it still looks pretty good when compared to Dragonball Evolution though. icon_smile.gif I haven't seen the original Avatar series, but I actually thought the movie was decent, for what it was.

If I read one more comment that doesn't recognise Dragonball Evolution as what it is - AKA the greatest movie of all time - I will flip out.

I don't even need to play that link to know what you are going to offer as a counter argument, but no. Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, running off a $3 budget with about 4 special effects ("look out! the shark is getting closer! you can tell because the swimming animation is being repeated over and over!"), didn't even manage to out-shit the $30million dollars of flaming crap that is the Dragonball Movie.

The greatest injustice in the world is that we will never get to see slightly greenish tinged Angel Piccolo rise again from his little hut. What was in that old lady's soup? WE WILL NEVER KNOW

Consider more study in another area to teach then.
Are you doing undergrad or postgrad?
I also think something like languages might vary a lot depending on what language and schools teaching it, and things like SOSE etc seem fairly to also get into doing. Also, there will be a demographic drop in teacher numbers and more jobs free as baby boomers retire in coming years.
Anyway, see your uni support staff, who hopefully might have some more informed input.

A couple of things today, so here's the background story. Firstly, I have too much annual leave. Work won't pay me out, despite it being part of their HR policy, but want me to instead take some time off. Secondly, my back fence fell down so I organised with a fence installer to replace it. Two birds with one stone, I took some time off, today and yesterday, to get the fence completed.

This is what happened.
1) Work continually rang me during the day yesterday, maybe 3 hours total.
2) The fence guy was 1 hour late, took a 1 hour breakfast break, forgot some stuff so I another hour off to go pick it up, and then, to top it off, demanded I do some digging as he didn't think of it when he wrote the original quote. Now, I offered help, fair enough, but I didn't like his 'demand'. I would've told me where to go but unfortunately, he's my father-in-law's friend.
3) This morning, work rang me and asked me to come in for a critical issue, and lastly,
4) The fence guy asked me to move the old fence into his trailer to help him out. I'm sure it is because he can't be assed moving the sheets himself as they are heavy.

So now I'm at work, writing this, while testing a 'critical issue'. After this, I'm marching down to HR and demanding they pay me out some of my leave.
