I'm playing this at the moment, and the story isnt terrible... its not AAA but its not terrible. Its just a bunch of missions thrown together with an overall "back story", typical old school FPS really. _________________

Its a great game and you can spend a good 5 mins on the spot just looking around and taking in all the realistic graphics.
I finished it way too quickly though but i guess that is to be expected with the amount of effort they went to create every pebble in the world. It does look amazing.
The enemy AI was top notch too.
I just hope there is ALOT of DLC content upcoming because it really needs a more fleshed out world.
Plus i couldnt help but want RPG elements to be included too, but taking into consideration that this is a game made by the guys that made Doom and Wolf3d it certainly fits in with the style of those games.
Alot of fun !

The review is supposed to be on the game, as the issues have allready been fixed (Like within a day) I don't really see how they're relevant? If they were still hanging around when the review got published then yeah but they're not. _________________

All my issues stemmed from AMD's drivers, not the game itself.
The game does lack options, but it still functions fine without them especially after the drivers came out and fixed everything up. _________________

^ Well maybe some of us didn't know all that and only heard about how the game didn't work well on release?
Negative press travels faster than positive press.

I was waiting to see how this review panned out... nice one man, feels about right from my short time with the game, and doesn't pull any punches about the shortcomings =) _________________

I found a few things that look quite bad—most notably the vending machines and signs. They look quite pixellated. It's worth pointing out that I'm playing the PS3 version though so it might be a problem exclusive to that.
I am no where near finishing it, but at the moment it's an 8/10 game for me. There are issues with the game, but none are gamebreaking. The game is still a helluva lot of fun to play.

Started playing the first few hours of Rage and Wow. The game is stunning. Everything is just so well polished, it's pretty impressive. Also, the AI is really good. I chucked a wingstick at the back of one guy's head, and he seemed to hear me and ducked before the thing whistled over him. I then shot him, and he fell. Thought he was dead, but then as I walked up to loot the body, he pushes himself up and starts shooting at me with his one good arm. They will also retreat if they are overwhelmed, and try to find some assistance.
The gunplay is nice, too. I just wish there was a more in depth multiplayer component.
One thing that annoyed me, though; I got the Anarchy edition, which includes a couple extra weapons, and a couple other things for your character, yet there is already areas of DLC I can't seem to access. That shouldn't happen within a week of a game's release. I assume that these areas were there on day 1.
