The Help Jahanzeb Purchase a PS3 thread

Hi PALGN and (insert your name here)! So, I'm casually lurking through PALGN as usual (great gaming community btw) and notice something... our friend, Jahanzeb, the music guru, the person who sometimes writes them crazy reviews on them crazy niche Japanese titles doesn't have a PS3?! bwah!?

So, I've decided to take it upon myself to create a thread to help our friend, Jahanzeb purchase one!

A quick glance has told me that PALGN has 22769 registered users. If everyone here donates say.... '.50c' we can make '$11,385'. That's a lot of PS3's!

A quick google image search has shown me that this will be the person getting our money:

What do I get out of this? I finally get to play Jahanzeb in BlazBlue!

Really appreciate the offer here! I thought it was just a fun/joke post but the paypal link made me go “Oh ok I gotta step in here!”

It’s really awesome and kind of you to try this but I simply cannot accept money like this! Especially since there are obviosuly more deserving charities out there, not to mention people with greater needs! ^^;

I can easily afford a PS3, work has been fantastic (work for the University) and I’m moving up next year so money isn’t the issue. My reasons for not buying a PS3 are actually…many… and it’s just my attitude towards the PS3, and current gaming in general. It’s hard to explain, but I’ve discussed this at length with Jarrod a few times.

It will make a lot more sense next month, and a lot of things about PALGN will for that matter…but I’ll explain why in due time, in an article most likely!

Thanks again for the offer, but I can’t accept money from you guys! I love writing here and the feedback you guys give for my work (especially you, David) is more than I could ask for!

That's more then fair enough dude. I honestly did start it of it as a Joke topic, but then I wondered if some people here were maybe serious about it, so I thought I'd take it seriously as well. All good and no stress.

Well, I'm honestly super glad there are some very generous people here so +brownie points to the PALGN community. If there's ever a good cause charity happening, I'll definitely know where to go.

Just keep this awesome community active and going is all I'm going to ask. PALGN hasn't been performing well of late but it's awesome to see all of you stick around and support the community and the PALGN staff.

I would totally donate to the cause too. Firstly because the randomness is too good to ignore (nice one David), but then Jahanzeb was all awesome and thankful and that makes him a man of character. I now believe that he totally deserves a free PS3.
