Sting vs Ric Flair Impact Wrestling

Full match uploaded by TNA on youtube

Tell me what you guys think!

Personally, I thought it was pretty good! this could have been a really bad match but Flair and Sting did a decent job. It's no different or better than their previous encounters but still some classic goodness. Some interference by Immortal but nothing really happened, was still a clean, back and forth matchup.

Claudio Castagnoli has been signed to the WWE!

Quote:
- ROH star Claudio Castagnoli has officially signed a WWE developmental deal. He has already reported to Florida Championship Wrestling, and his new ring name is Antonio Cesaro.

As far as WWE names go, the one they've given to Claudio is not that bad, in my opinion. Hopefully he won't stay too long in FCW and get called up to the big leagues soon. I'm still waiting for Seth Rollins (aka Tyler Black) to move up from FCW.

It sucks that the other half of the Kings of Wrestling, Chris Hero, didn't get signed at the same time. Hopefully he'll get signed too sooner rather than later.

In other news...

Quote:
- WWE has officially announced John Cena and The Rock will team at Survivor Series as part of a five on five Survivor Series elimination match.

It would have made much sense to have these two captain on opposing teams. With these two on the one team, pretty much any other team is gonna look tame in comparison, unless it was captained by HHH/Punk/Orton.

I think HHH/Punk co-captaining the opposing side would be a good idea, still constantly butting heads. But my 'dream team' would be Punk being captain, recruiting Daniel Bryan, the Kings of Wrestling, and for the fifth member either Evan Bourne or introduce his buddy, Colt Cabana. The team would be called ROHnin icon_wink.gif

That, or as Punk is wanting change in the WWE, he could choose his gf Beth Phoenix as the fifth member icon_smile.gif

True. All the rivalries! Cena/Rock, Punk/Austin, Cena/Punk, Rock/Austin, plus new potential face-offs with Punk/Rock and Cena/Austin icon_biggrin.gif. Survivor Series is already sold out. Madison Square Garden's roof would be blown off!

Ok, let's say Cena/Rock's team vs. Punk/Austin's team was to happen. Who would you have fill out the rest of their teams?

Would it be risky to suggest Taker and HHH on either team, just to ramp up that rivalry for that too? Otherwise, the only one I'd love to see more of, and winning, is Bryan.

For a heel team, I'd put Del Rio, Christian, Miz, R-Truth, and for the last spot maybe Mark Henry. That, or Swagger and Ziggler can fight over the last spot.

I've heard HHH has been advertised in a match against Vince McMahon.

Also Taker is scheduled to return at Vengence which is roughly six weeks away.

Not really sold on Claudio, signing with the WWE. He's got a better look and background than Hero BUT I think Hero is a better promo and worker of the two. Would love to see him, Hero, Moxley and Black pushed to the main roster. In fact, there's a few other FCW guys who deserve an opportunity in the main roster. But at the same time, I'd like to see the WWE either cut or utilise some of their stars better. In the past couple of years they've just rushed through a lot of FCW guys, introducing the likes of Tatsu, Reks, Slater, McGillicutty, Usos, Barretta, Kidd, Gabriel, Hawkins etc. etc. without giving the fans a reason to give a s**t about them. Either, cut them and bring some new guys and actually get behind them or actually get behind the guys you have.

What does everyone think of WWE and TNA at the moment?

I think it's fair to say the WWE has died down considerably. HHH is just making Punk look foolish at the moment, always getting in the last word lately and making Punk look like a whiner despite basically being a face.

Cena/Del Rio is the same ol' song and dance. Cowardly heel gets a few surprise attacks on Cena, Cena laughs, beats up cowardly heels #2, cue can of laughter and roll the credits. Look, I think you guys know I'm a Cena sympathiser, I think he's a good worker and has put on a lot of good matches, but we've seen this guy on top for 300 episodes now basically doing the same shtick. He's not actually booked that well, but the way he's written as this happy go lucky guy just doesn't create enough room for character development. Which isn't necessary in wrestling, but it should be. There should be consequences for losing, not just showing up on Raw after losing on the biggest show of the year, all smiles and cutting jokes with The Rock.

With that said, Henry/Orton has surprisingly been decent. Their promo on SD was surprisingly really good and legit made Henry look like a beast with a valid reason for acting like one and being a threat to Orton. It's not exactly going to blow your mind, but all things considered, it's not going to have you want to blow your brains out either.

TNA, eh, need to watch more of. Glad Roode won, I think he could be a really solid top guy for them if booked right. Don't think he's much as a face, needs to work more as a heel.

I think WWE lost control of the Punk situation and now they've missed the boat. They had something going there for a while but had no idea how to use it, which is a shame, I was really enjoying it. I'd have preferred it if they'd continued the Punk/Cena angle longer, the in ring work was rather good.

TNA's been on a slow burn for a while now, I've lost interest in everything. The X division has lost all the excitement I once had for it, and the tag division barely exists, especially if Beer Money goes solo. Credit where it's due, WWE has always had the better rivalry arcs, there's nothing happening in TNA right now.

– Vince McMahon was irate backstage at Monday’s RAW SuperShow after his name was mentioned by Alberto Del Rio during the live broadcast.

Many people within WWE believe McMahon got upset because he is returning to television soon and did not want his name mentioned. Del Rio and the creative writer involved in the segment were both yelled at backstage by Vince.

Stephanie McMahon, who was on hand for the event, attempted to calm her father down but was unable to do so. He remained temperamental for the rest of the night as he was yelling at colleagues throughout the show and making life miserable for those around him.

– Mark Henry was said to be very upset over Jerry Lawler getting hurt at RAW when the table didn’t break away properly. At this time, Lawler is expected to miss next week’s RAW.

– Hugh Jackman was a big hit backstage at RAW last night. Jackman wasn’t familiar with all of the current talent but was a big fan in the mid 1980s and took a photo with Steve Lombardi backstage. Jackman noted that he remembered seeing him during a 1986 WWF tour of Australia. Word is that Jackman mingled with the wrestlers, took a ton of photos, and many of the wrestlers said that he was their favorite guest star.

– Dolph Ziggler has stated on Twitter that he suffered a “hairline mandibular fracture” of his jaw from Hugh Jackman’s punch. Ziggler said he will be wearing a mouth guard while it heels and will not miss any matches.

Turns out Hogan is leaving TNA.

He is not cleared to wrestle at Bound for Glory.

That year long build up for Sting vs Hogan...WASTED.

Sting REALLY needs to hit up Wrestlemania 28, that's the best way to close off his career, or even a year long stint with WWE where he gets control over his character protrayal.

Sting is worried about how WWE will treat his character? well Stinger...I can assure you WWE will not go any lower than Joker Sting >>;

About to chuck on TNA now, I heard it was still going ahead but with a 3rd participant?

Will save himself the embarassment anyway, Ric Flair is injured again after his match with Sting, when will they learn to give it up? He said he landed perfectly, lolz, his superplex fall looked so awkward on his side.

And maaaan, how crap is WWE again? Joh Cena champion again? In the words of the Miz, really? 2nd shortest Money in the Bank title run.

Will be interesting to see what happens with Miz and R-Truth in the future, all part of the survivor series factions I reckon. Possible interference at Cell?

Jerry the King Lawler legitimately injured and taken to hospital from the new Raw as well, Mark Henry pretty upset about it apparently.

And MEGALOLZ at Ziggler's hairline jaw fracture, as a result of the Hugh Jackman punch! It did look mighty close when I watched it, but still assumed nothing of it. I think Hugh took everyone by surprise, he actually did a really good job, definitely the best celebrity host I've witnessed.

http://www.wwe.com/shows/smackdown/frustrated-bryan-fires-back

A short but sweet promo/interview segment with Daniel Bryan, regarding his loss to the Sin Caras and how it's been since he won Money In The Bank.

I like this clip. I hope he gets more opportunities to vent his frustration, leading to a heel turn. You can already see he's on the way to his ROH heel look he had years ago. He just needs to shave his head bald and grow the beard a little more and he can go into "I am better than you" mode icon_smile.gif. He doesn't quite cut it with the clean-cut babyface look and persona.

I watched Hell in a Cell and I can easily say it was rather lackluster overall. The main event was great and had a good, yet unexpected ending.

The Sin Cara match was hard to watch. Sloppy work, botches, and terrible pace. It was a little difficult to hear the crowd in the sports bar I was at, but it sounded like they were chanting boring.

That triple threat Hell in a Cell was probably the best PG era Cell match.

Just from reading the results, Hell in a Cell sounded to me like it was the PPV that Night of Champions should have been.

Beth Phoenix finally won the belt off Kelly Squared, thank god! I just wish that match was in the cell too so the Glamazon could really mess that barbie up!

I did like the sound of Cena being locked out of the cell, and any result that has him not having the belt is a good one.

What the hell are they doing with Bryan?! A MITB winner who's working the dark match for the second PPV in a row! He should join the Awesome Truth cause he could claim there's a conspiracy against him too. It'd make an interesting dynamic between him and his former rival and NXT mentor, The Miz.

But the biggest moment of the night? Cody Rhodes bringing back the CLASSIC WHITE INTERCONTINENTAL BELT!

Now we just need the fugly WWE title and Tag Team belts changed and we're all good.

Botchamania 185 - Just replay the Sin Cara match. Terrible display. You definitely heard correctly shinhawk.

Agree with all three of you in parts, the final HIAC match was awesome, chairs were out early, pipe used at the end, and the champ was locked out which really stirred things up. Haven't seen HHH that angry in a while too. CM Punk had 3 large scratches on his lower back from the cage, the shenanigans between the ring and cage was just too fun to watch in the main event.

Otherwise it was a pretty boring PPV. Didn't know the IC title was changing, looks awesome. Sure, they're trying to bring back 'meaning' to the title. But honestly, it has never made any sense to me. Intercontinental. Intercontinental yet it's held by Americans, in addition to the US title. I've always felt that IC should be pushing internationals like Barrett, Sheamus etc and have the US title between Rhodes, Swagger, Morrison and other Americans. But of course both titles kind of lose meaning as a precursor to the World title this way.

And a rough tally i put together for Booker T:
Check this out right here!: 15+ times
Oh my Goodness!: 5-10 times
Waaaaaiiiit a minute: 3-5 times
Like I said: 5 times
That's what I'm talkin about: About 10 times
YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!: 5-10 times
Wow: Too many to bother counting.

And that's including fast forwarding the tag match and the divas match.

Should be a pretty interesting Raw tomorrow.

Tag match was probably one of the best on the show.

Solid PPV, very good finish and better than what I expected. Loved the story told in the main event and they worked the triple threat HIAC element to a tee. Del Rio should never have lost the title in the first place, IMO.

Raw will be interesting.

I actually enjoyed the Diva's match. I was getting tired of seeing Kelly Kelly constantly win with roll-up type pins. Natalya overdid it on the mic and came off pretty lame up until she smacked Kelly Kelly with it.

Regarding Booker T, if Danielson were in the PPV, he would have talked about his fave five like 20 times. haha

In the latest ep of Zack Ryder's youtube show, he shows what happened after he came back to HHH after the end of this past week's Raw.

I like Dolph Ziggler's 'interruptions' during Ryder's show. Just like Ryder, he's using the opportunity to show that there's more to himself than you would normally see on TV. In this episode, he decides to take things up a notch.
