Did anyone catch the new Chaser show tonight? It's like another ABC show, Media Watch, but with the Chaser sense of humour, and much like the last series in the sense that it's part sketch comedy, part editorial, and without the stunts that made them popular (personally, I don't miss that stuff).
It's a little hit and miss for me but I enjoyed it, largely because I have an unusual sense of humour myself when it comes to bad journalism and media. Here's the official website, and if you missed it, it's on ABC2 thursday and on Iview online. Worth it, I think.

I enjoyed it because like you I love media scrutiny and shows like Media Watch. Most of the sketches were so-so, but I've found that to be the case with the Chaser. I much prefer them when they're sitting down scrutinising while showing little clips (like the 'what did we learn from current affairs this week' segment in War on Everything). My favourite moment came when the senior lady said "He looks like a fuckwit who's facing away from you." because that tool deserved it.
