I haven't even touched single-player yet. I've been having so much fun in multiplayer versus and Horde mode that I haven't had time to experience the campaign. The versus is extremely solid and I haven't got bored of exploring all the new ways of handling combat now. I am really digging the retro lancer and revised Gnasher Shotgun, although I extremely hate the Sawed-Off Shotgun. At hipfire press, it is cheap beyond belief.
Does anyone have any spare pre-order DLC codes for the multiplayer character skins? I got two (Dom and Baird) from JB but am more interested in the other ones (Adam Fenix, Savage Grenadier Elite) and am willing to trade codes. If only they just put them in the game instead of making them a pre-order exclusive... _________________

MP is unbelievable. Epic have nailed it after kind of having a great but flawed version 1 and 2.
I'm up to the end of chatper 4. This game is so awesome. Graphics are truely amazing and they are seriously pushing 360 to it's limits. I think chatper 4 looks as good as anything I've seen this geneartion. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Literally finished the campaign in one 10 hour sitting the other night, my impression...
Absolutely loved it. I wasn't too pumped for it after having very vague memories of the previous two games, but after the first chapter I just couldn't put it down. The MP is great fun, but is basically a shotgun fest most of the time. It is probably just me but I seem to remember in Gears 1 in particular everyone seemed to go for long range more.
Horde is amazing, the fortifications really bring the formula home, it was exactly what it needed. _________________

Up to chapter 4. Wow, this game has stepped up. Chapter 4 is extremely visually striking not because of graphics but art direction. No matter how good graphics are a good art direction and a clear vision trumps it. Still think this campaign is probably the worst balance wise, just too easy but good fun and I think the storytelling succeeds in a way Gears 2 didn't.

LOL that chicken was friggin awesome.
Just clocked the game. Sooooooooo good! That's why I play games, the sheer awesomeness of the title. The music, the story it all came together so wonderfully. So a great game and polished up to the max. I read a review saying after finish 3, you want to go back and play them all. You know, I really do now.
Hats off to Epic to making each of the games completely different. They are all different in a way and have their pro and cons. 3 is def the best though in the series. The game isn't as ball breaking hard but makes up for in intensity.
I'm so looking forward to Gears 4 and where they take it. I hope Epic wait until the next gen and make something crazy. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Quite enjoying this game at the moment. I was playing some hoard, & decided to look at the leader boards for each map, & noticed 3maps that are not playable yet, possibly the ones to be released in November?
-Blood drive
-Rustlung
-Azura
Would be good to see the Blood drive level in this mode of hoard, would be the easiest map to defend... _________________ <iframe src="http://gamercard.xbox.com/Ministry%20Se7en.card" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" height="140" width="204">Put your gamertag here too.</iframe>

Played campaign for a bit - not grabbing me. BUT, gee they've done a great job righting the wrongs of Gears 2 MP. Don't know about everyone else, though the dedicated servers have been flawless on my end. Problem is that the Oz Gears community was virtually lost during 2, and I don't think the players will be coming back. Number of people online in the Oz region is rarely above 150.

Man I haven't played number two much but at my friends we played the multiplayer of Gears 3 and it was such a blast. I'm so glad they've increased the speed of gameplay a little. Not only that but me and my friends got this achievement by playing this mode where we got to choose members of the horde and I enjoyed being those little tickers so much The centipede creatures were awesome too!

First time I've missed video games in a looong time. Wish I has a 360 and LIVE right now. Reading through this thread (and trying unsucessfully to avoid spoilers) makes me want the game so bad! Only 6 months to wait....:/ Please, someone, tell me it sucks! _________________

Trust me, any series that can make money will never ever die. Except Half Life. Seriously though I remember when Halo 3 came out that Bungie said it would be the final one, and now we have about 6 new Halo titles hahaha

Didn't play this online for a little while, came back and was hoping the shotgun problem would be a little better. Definitely not. Had a couple of idiots who would use NOTHING but the sawn off, no matter how far away or how little cover, they wouldn't change weapons. So frustrating.
But I finished it tonight. Wasn't bad, Gears 2 seemed to be better though, or at least more memorable. The multiplayer still has a lot of life left in it, though I wonder how much I'll play it with so many other games coming out soon.

I'm getting pretty annoyed, I am consistently getting destroyed in MP. Is it only me?! Starting to lose the fun of it!

I actualy find the MP reasonably easy, but may have been because I was playing a fairly easy bunch of players, went think 5 or 6 games with only like 2 deaths, put my K/D ratio through the roof _________________ Solid Snake is the shit

I stopped playing this online for a few weeks and since I've been back on it people have all leveled up like crazy and I'm still about level 20... Everyone seems to have learned a few tricks I haven't caught onto yet and my ratio is terrible... I was pretty decent in the first few weeks

The season pass isn't off to a great start. I bought it, not entirely sure why, but the first DLC pack is going to be free (maps only), in a couple of weeks with two extra maps. Plus if the host of a game has the DLC, everyone can play the maps. So I basically got a few more Horde fortifications, a couple of weapon skins and three characters. The future DLC better be better than that :\
Oh, and three maps, three characters and two weapon skins were only 1.42 mb? I've really lost faith in Epic now, so I just paid for something that people get (mostly) for free, and that is already on the disc. Screw you Epic.
