... really trying to stay optimistic here, but I'll be damned if that doesn't just look like a (very pretty, granted) heavily scripted corridor shooter.

The fact that they more or less gloss over what kind of control and choices you get with the neural implant hackery did not go unnoticed.

I'd never even heard of Syndicate until recently. It looks like a solid FPS mixed with some cool sci-fi elements, plus it's being developed by Starbreeze Studios, who created The Darkness. It definitely has my attention.

these guys should have teamed up with the deus ex guys and just made an original(ish) bladerunner style game,
im getting a bit over the constant retro/sentimental remakes.
that said, i looks pretty cool, better than i thought it would.

That look fucking awesome. I just finished Deus Ex and absolutely loved it. Whilst this is different I'm in a very sci-fi ish mood because of it.

Well made trailer too.

Pacman, Space invaders, Frogger and Wonder boy are all being released as first person shooters in remastered HD as well next year too!!! ;p

oh yeah, more titles being released as a fps are 'your keys to driving in qld, burkes backyard, murder she wrote, neighbours, the bold and the beautiful (my personal favourite) and finally the bible. If it was popular at some stage and we own the licencing rights then you better believe that its coming your way as a fps! So spend up!
