Roughly 1100. Some of them are doubles (Reservoir Dogs on DVD and BR). Seeing as I'm on holidays I've been getting through them alot quicker. _________________

So many movies (mostly older movies) look better upscaled on DVD than they do on Bluray, the heavy grain on some of the older movies is completely brutal.

I've found great improvements though.
I have a couple of slient films from the 1920's on Blu and they look better than the DVD upscaled counterparts.
But if your talking early James Bond, then I agree on you'd struggle to really see the difference. _________________

Have shown my 360 and ps3 + blu-ray movie collection in the past, this is my Steam (aka pc) purchased collection so far. Have come a long way from being frustrated by how the installation process went with Half Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source etc back in 2005 (took forever!!!).
Most of the games (save for Half Life, Counter-Strike and Team Fortress 2 + related entries) have been purchased over the last 12 months. I didn't know the best way to post a series of images, so to save face and the stretching of monitors i thought i'd post the urls instead.
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/269/steamgames1.jpg/
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/405/steamgames2.jpg/
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/9/steamgames3.jpg/
Images are more squashed than i'd like, but if i did the jumbo size they would be too large to post. Not in alphabetical order, what i did was take a screen shot of 9, paste it, take a screen shot of the next 9 and paste it BESIDE the previous image rather than paste straight down.

Unless you're an audiophile in which case the sound is just as big a draw to bluray as the picture. While there may not be any HD Audio tracks present, bluray is always 60hz and does not suffer PAL Speedup like all films and US TV shows. I find PAL Speedup so annoying I would never buy a DVD if there was a bluray, but I'm in the minority there.
I just find it ludicrous that in this day and age they still speed the sound up when converting to PAL - even on HDTV in Australia in 1080i. What a joke! _________________

My vidya corner, the only part of my room in which I take any pride whatsoever; the entirety of which is approximately equivalent to one decent haul from Seyismyname:
Apart from the curtain and wall, there is a single item in the whole picture which is not related to video games. Can you find it?
As you can see, there's no PS2/PSP/PS3 stuff. That's because (PS3 has no games) they're over on a different shelf here:
The PS1 games will be joining them when I get Pikmin and Pikmin 2 back from my mate. _________________

Bluray is 24hz, its why people pay so much money for 120Hz tv's (Its a division of 24), my TV has 24hz/1080P, the way blurays are intended to be viewed.
@Esposch to answer the question, there is a little animal in front of the Halo 3 poster.

There are the games that survived being sold/stolen/missing (yes, I had games stolen off me) etc. I'm pretty sure I've missed a box somewhere...
Also, I do have a lot of peripherials, I just got them packed up.
Since my bf have a collection of PS1/PS2/PS3/Wii/NDS/PSP games which I have helped build it over the years, I've decided to borrow games off him instead of buying for many titles (except FF series, Uncharted series, Rockstar games, series I want to own).
Ninty Handhelds
*Not pictured is the phat NDS and some games.
Ninty Console Games (I still have the SNES and the N64)
PS1/Xbox Console Games (still have the original Playstation and Xbox)
PS2 Games (Have the phat console).
Not shown is Okami, Shadow Hearts 2, Star Ocean 3, all I have lent out to my bf for at least 3 years ago. I should probably do better at getting these back!. Also, I don't know where my Final Fantasy X-2 went, it will be at home somewhere, I hope!.
PS3 Games (Have the Slim, came with the Bravia tv )
PSP Games (Have the LBP PSP)
LBP not shown.
360 Games (The non-Slim 360)
Wii Games
Lent out some (like Sport Resort).
PC Games (many older ones not shown like the Sims, Carmen Santiago series, a few Maxis games)
Physical
Gog
Steam
Telltale Games (not shown)
BttF Eps
Hector: Ep 1
Poker Night at the Inventory
Puzzle Agent
Sam and Max Season 2
Sam and Max Season 3
Strong Bad Season 1
Tales of Monkey Island Season 1
Wallace & Gromit Ep 3
Games for Windows Marketplace (not shown)
Age of Empires III: Complete Collection
Origin (former EA Downloader) (not shown)
The Sims 2 Double Deluxe _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

So, this here's my not-quite-complete man room. I had to make a decision as to whether it was record or videogame centric, and went with records... so the vast majority of my gaming collection isn't really represented here. But you get the idea
I figured a photo taken from each corner best represents the room, as opposed to trying to squeeze it all in a panoramic or wide angle shot.

1084S looks fantastic, still quite sharp and vibrant. Unfortunately, nay to it having the scart port, which is a bit of a bummer.
I decided to take a few more photos, to show a little bit more of the game collection component, and 'what's behind the records' (hint: it's more records).
Such as the Iraq:
Missing, well... I have a ridiculous amount of boxed NES and SNES games, plenty of other boxed consoles and non-Sega/ Nintendo ish (eg. there's no Sony or Microsoft representation there, for starters), my Japanese handhelds (I posted a few photos of those up maybe a few pages back?), my current gen-ish (which resides in the living room). Best to maybe think of this as my 'retro' room?
Admittedly, haven't taken as much great care organising my games as I do my music. See all those records? Organised by genre, then alphabetical, then chronological release. Due to the varying sizes of game packages, especially with retro stuff, it's just harder to make look nice.
The rest of my gaming stuff is haphazardly organised in plastic storage tubs, until I move into a 5-bedroom house where I can make a seperate gaming room Could be awhile...
Something like that. _________________

Wow awesome idea for a man room, looks great awesome taste on the furniture, arrangement and would love to have a record collection like that.
Your game collection is great also. Much respect
I have recently done something similar to my own spare room. Its only dedicated to Video Games and Movies.
Will be adding pictures by tomorrow.

My PS3 collection - the only console I am collecting for these days, until the Vita that is. (I have another 10 on order yet to arrive)
(I'd throw up the current blu-ray photos but they are all over the floor as I ran out of shelves but they'd be at about 400.) _________________
