Normal as in normal for PALGN, or normal for sites that work. _________________ Da Bessssss

It was grease lightning this morning for 5 seconds. Now it's um not really. As a consequence, I have been far more productive today at work. _________________ I'd be apathetic, but I can't be arsed.

I find it surprising no one has yet pointed out the irony of the thread pointing out how slow the forum is is generating the most traffic.

Yeah, the last couple of days has been really random. First it'd load nice and quick, then take aaaaaaaaaages to do the next thing. Got the final page here almost instantly, then too 2 minutes to go to page 2.

i know james is probbly sick of this already , but assuming that its more a matter of time then money or tho time is money what if you temporally partnered up with another site to mirror the forum on some other site ? say a uk gaming site of sorts - you could do some sort of cross promotion of sorts or something ? just a thorught _________________

Mirroring something that updates as often as a forum isn't really feasible. Also this site runs an ancient versions of software that not many people are likely to still be using. _________________

Hey, no problem. No one comes here any more anyway now that Game Exchange shut down. Should be able to turn the site off for a day, FXP that data across, and no one would know any different.

It's not even a matter of time, it's just some matters happening behind the curtains which I don't have any control over at the moment. So until I know exactly how that's going to be resolved, nothing's going to change.
Which for me is frustrating because this is really something that could've been fixed with a day's work (At worst, best solution would've taken a phone call). As I said though at the moment it's out of my hands.

Hi Folks,
Please be patient with the site. Obviously, you already have been...so thank you! The site requires a code and server upgrade which needs to happen at the same time.
Best,

We're all working with Roland right now trying to sort these issues out.
There's a few things that are coming up soon that are interwoven, including new technical, editorial and partnership plans. We do ask that you bear with us while we get everything worked out, and as Roland said, thanks for your patience so far! _________________

The "partnership plans" definitely has me very curious as to what exactly this means. Is PALGN actually merging with another website? Or does it mean something completely different? _________________
