SNK/NeoGeo fighting games

Hey guys

There are quite a few SNK/NeoGeo titles on XBLA that are online enabled with a pretty decent net code, unfortunately you can't find a community for any of them.

Just wondering if anyone here owns them and would like to play these against me and other forum members.

I own Mark of the Wolves and KOF 2002 Unlimited Match, would love to play them with some people here

off the top of my head I have nego geo battle col, kof99, mark of the wolfs.

Also have SF3, SF2hdremix, umk3, MKcollection (netcode bad) and a few others i think.

Hopefully there will be some increase of a KOF community once XIII hits consoles. The SNK fighters I've put some time into are KOF 2002 UM, KOF XIII, and Samurai Shodown VI. Did anyone ever get SS Anthology for PS2 or Wii?

Epic Double Post:

Just had a solid hit up with Myzz, nothing but SNK action.

Started off with some King of Fighters 2002, Myzz pretty much wiped the floor with me

. His Iori and Robert Garcia are unstoppable

We then moved on to some Garou: Mark of the Wolves, I fared a bit better in that one!

Overall, it was awesome. I rarely get to play SNK fighters with human opponents and so it was quite refreshing! needed a break from all the Street Fighters and BlazBlue.

Let's get some more SNK action going here fellas! we are playing again tomorrow night

Was great fun... I know a few guys around from other fighting game communities that have kof, should try and have more games.. so refreshing after playing heaps of sf/mk etc.

I need to learn how to play motw a little better, you played very well

98 is better! I never got into 2002 as much (I not a fan of the Kyo/Terry changes post 98').

The quality of KOF 98 cannot be denied, but Leon you gotta check out Mark of the Wolves at least, such an amazingly fluid game.

Hrmm, it's an OK game but I never really got into that either. 2002 is a wonderful game as well, don't get me wrong. It's the last great KOF game anyway.....hopefully until XIII! (Iori has his powers back!!!!!)

Too many fighters to chose from these days.

There are to many fighters, the thing is we get hooked on the same fighter for very long time.

I've always prefered kof to sf/tekken etc. It brings back so many memories of my childhood smashing out art of fighting/fatal fury etc..

I hope that 13 delivers, 12 was a bit of a letdown personally..

But to the main topic, playing multiple fighters casually is great fun - i was playing neo geo battle col yesterday vs a SF4 friend, that's probably the best looking of all with full hd sprites etc. - plays great too.

Has anyone watched KOF matches with Chinese or Mexican players? Best hail from either HK or Mexico. Its amazing how insane and fast they are at 2002 UM and XIII. I can't keep up.

Not surprising. Here's one featuring some Chinese players.

Some Mexican players. Check out all of the vids on brothersbogard's account. They have some really good matches.

And just to keep this thread from being limited to the KOF Universe, here's an expert match from Samurai Shodown VI even though I'm sure hardly anyone will take interest since its a game from the last generation and there's no online capability outside of Japan. I'm not sure how this one fares among Chinese players now, but I know SSV Special still gets played competitively to this day.

SS2 is widely considered to be the best of the series. I myself like 4 the best.
