He unveiled it himself, it seems:
| Quote: | | If you're lazy and don't want to create your own character, you can play as Itagaki himself. Itagaki, whose partnership with THQ began with the development of Devil's Third, demoed his character on stage during a presentation at the Tokyo Game Show this week, letting loose on the streets of Steelport. |

Eh. Playable characters is a terrible idea (for this game, anyway). The character creator is half the fun of the game.
I'd like to be able to import my SR2 characters, though.

So I finally got around to preordering this yesterday. Hooray for the man-o-pult!
Also, the character creator (Initiation Station) is up if you go here:
http://au.gamespot.com/event/codes/saintsrow-xbox/
and get the code.
I've had a bit of a play with it, it's pretty cool. Gonna make some magic with it on the weekend. _________________

Argh. Facing difficult decisions. I really want the Genki pre-order merch that comes in the JB exclusive edition, but I also really want to get the soundtrack that comes in the EB ed. or the Platnium ed. (USA/UK)
I've had a bit of a search, but all info I can find is scattered and incomplete - if anyone knows of a pack that has the Genki toys and soundstrack, and can link me to it, I will love you in many ways (some legal only in certain areas of Mexico). _________________

The JB edition seems to have the soundtrack too.
http://www.jbhifi.com.au/games/saints-row-the-third/
Or are the soundtracks different?
Edit: Oh wait, you mean the standard pre-order edition and not the crazy headphone pack? _________________

I'm pretty certain the genki stuff comes when you preorder the game, regardless of the version you get. I think. _________________

Wait, reading Karai's post again, he seems to be implying actual physical Genki stuff. That... doesn't exist, right? Its all just in-game stuff, right? _________________

Yeah, sorry doodz, didn't realizse that JB also did the platnium ed. - I meant the Maximum Pleasure edition (which I'm totally hovering over the purchase button for, but I wants that soundstrack).
Edit: Aww, lame - Mx Pleas is only console. _________________

See, I was about to order that one - but I don't want another pair of shitty sunnies, and the cufflinks will be cheap and nasty... and I really want that Genki head
BUT I also would prefer to get it on PC... HRMM! _________________

The Initiation Station is out and I'm bored!
Meet Steve, the unconvincing transvestite
I also made a matrix-looking female character, a betrayed middle-aged russian housewife, and a male alien desperately but unsuccessfully trying to blend in with human society.

Some reviews are in.
Official Playstation Magazine Australia gave it a 9/10.
"So over the top it makes Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay look restrained. This is an absolute laugh riot throughout"
http://www.oxmonline.com/saints-row-third-review?page=0,0
They gave it a 9.5/10 _________________ Welcome to the internet. Where any joke can turn into WWIII.
