Was just announced for the PSVita and PS3 at Sony's TGS press conference. Man, I love Final Fantasy X! The PSVita's game line up is only looking better each day.

really they're doing 10 remake before 7? That's kind of suprising.
Would rather 9.
Also needs to be called Final Fantasy Decem Hard Dragon or something retarded otherwise it won't fit in with there recent stroke victim naming sensibilities.

Although I wasn't a fan of the sphere grid, I still enjoyed FFX a lot, so this is good news for those that missed out 10 years ago, or wanna experience the game again in high def.
Pretty sure I'll pass though, as I still have a working PS2 and a copy of the game.

Just imagine it, FFX without copious amounts of aliasing... 
This is awesome, FFX is my favourite FF so any excuse to play it again is certainly welcome.

I loved FFX (albeit not my favourite and just manages to make it into my top 5) so this is welcomed news.
Like Benza, I'm surprised that this has been announced before a FFVII remake. But with all the PS2 HD remakes coming out, it makes sense as there would be less work to remake this than FFVII or the other PS1 final fantasy's.

Upping the res, adding some AA and upgrading some textures is a lot easier than what has to be done to remake 7 (or 8 and 9 for that matter).

I really hope they add a voice language option whilst they're bothering with a HD remake.
The English voice acting makes me cringe way too much.

I'm sure Squeeny are jumping on the same bandwagon as everyone else, and it will be a mildly souped up port.

Agreed. A great game marred by horrific voice acting. Yuna's is particularly fucked.
I'd like this to be bundled with X-2.
I hope XII's not far away. Shits all over X IMO.

Awesome news, and when you really think about it, not surprising they chose this one first, much less work on their part to get it to HD standard.
And why does everyone want a FF7 remake so soon? It could look so much better if they really take their time and wait a couple more console cycles. Remake announcement on 20yr anniversary please.

remake? pretty sure its just a HD upgrade like all the other ps2 classics coming out next year. probably why they dont do ff7 cause they would have to redo the whole game same for mgs1.

Probably. Maybe they are doing a FF7 remake behind our backs, using character models from Advent Children. I must be in the minority to not been able to finish FF7 (I tried to play it straight after FF10, picked up FF10-2 instead).
FF10 is the first FF game in the series I have finished so this news will be very special for me

FFX will just be a HD port from the PS2, its not exactly a remake.
to convert/port FF7-9 would be impossible due to the predrawn backgrounds, and that makes a remake more difficult because each area would need to be completely redrawn, and many environments used (ie camera angles etc) wouldn't exactly work with more realistic and updated character models, then think about voice acting etc.
God I hope the FF7-9 remakes include predrawn backgrounds though.
I also now hope that they make FF7 remake a PS4 launch title. The PS3 is out of its prime now, it would be a killer launch title.

I want this. As i said in the announcement thread, even if it's just a HD remake with trophy support, I want it. I'm surprised they're no including X-2 as well, though, or XII, since most of the HD remakes have been in packs.
