great game, too bad it hates my stick for no real reason. (Also wouldn't the first street fighter be the least successful?)

hmm I wouldn't call it one of the main Street Fighter franchises. the first game tends to get written off...even I cognitively believed Street Fighter II to be the beginning ^^;

Parries frighten me. Considering I can't reliably pull off FADCs in SF4, tapping forward in time with the 3(+) hits of Ken's shoryuken is beyond me. Nevermind trying to parry all of Chun-Li's super =(

touché.

Once I get a new stick I wanna get into this hard though. Had a great time in our hit up the other day just a shame I was stuck on a pad.

Makoto and Ibuki are way more fun in 3 then 4. Although I kind of prefer Dudley in 4. I wanted to give a decent go to Necro cause his design is rad but dear god his voice is irritating. Might look into playing some Q.

Hrmm, tried the demo and thought it was okay from what basic moves I could pull out of my butt. Nice review though, I may purchase it eventually, need to learn some basics but.

@Benza: You, me, PS3, BlazBlue. Now. icon_wink.gif

Don't think my boss will take that as a good enough reason to leave work early.

Tonight around 6?

Aha! Ask him to come along as well! icon_razz.gif

But yeah, round 6 sounds good. I'll probably be online round then anyway.

@David

I think you will enjoy Street Fighter III, simply because it's the coolest and edgiest one with a really fluid combat system. Street Fighter III is the Street Fighter that fans of Guilty Gear/BlazBlue would really enjoy.

I'll second Jahan on that one, going from blazblue to SF 3 felt far more natural then SF 4.

You can't talk street fighter 3 without mentioning this the classic match between Daigo and Justin at EVO 2004

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pS5peqApgUA&feature=related

I recommend watching the whole thing, but skip to 2:41 if you're impatient.
