I fail to find that too, the closest I found is Youth Allowance - Independence

Looking at the Rates table, there seems to be "living at home" and "not living at home". _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

Do you mean to say that they can choose NOT to turn off Auto Renewal? |
Just keep an eye on the status of your auto-renewal, sometimes they turn it back on.
I got it turned off a few months ago and was annoyed to find out yesterday that is was back on. _________________ Want cutting-edge Australian video game journalism with a friendly community? Click here!

Just got a general question about internet/phone lines. I'm very n00b.
Right now I got internet from iiNet which is not only our landline provider, but yeah plugs into a wireless modem, gives me my internet etc.
Now Mum got a new job and they provide a telstra internet service which would give us another modem, but not a wireless one, just a plug into a desktop computer and give internet to that computer only.
Would this Telstra line they are putting in affect my current wireless internet/phone lines at all? _________________

Thats a tough question, you may actually have to speak to a representative from Centrelink (If it's centrelink). Personally I say your eligible because you have to actually travel 102kms. I'm not sure though it depends on the attitude of the person I think, cause they might be the stingy type to let little technical details prevent you from getting anything. Good luck with it though

I remember once paying by something from credit card, it asked me if I wanted to sign-up for auto-renewal and I 100% positively god-damn said no. Wasn't until my mum looked at her credit statement 6 months later that I found that they were charging me for monthly renewal. I honestly... seriously I know there's no way I can prove it or even make it sound like I'm telling the truth but I swear..

I'm not sure mate but if a man comes out to install it, perhaps you can ask him that you want your existing connection to remain functioning. You may have several copper (I think it's copper) lines going to your house and he might be able to install another connection and give you another wall socket for that connection?
On a side note, telstra is providing a connection, but do you have to use their modem too? I mean you might be able to plug the telstra connection into your current modem and still provide wireless to several computers at once?

Sorry Jahanzeb, yeah I wasn't sure if it was just the odd representative or if it was just internet spin. Guess I should of found out for myself lol
And man, its always the smallest things that frustrate people in life. Not only that, but because the problem is so small, you get even angrier because it's such a small deal XD Like with me having immense trouble getting a job for 8+ months...okay I'll take things one day at a time. Maybe check up on this? First thing that comes to mind when it is business related internet service access is a Mobile USB dongle. _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

Yeah I'm not too sure what Mum's talking about really....I'd assume it's a Mobile USB Dongle too but no apparently the Telstra man is coming over to do something to our phone lines. Mum seems to think you can have two phone lines feeding through the house at once. I don't know what she's planning to do :\
Edit: It appears she's getting a whole new phone line put in for it. That should be all good? _________________

I believe all houses have 2 copper phone lines running from the exchange. So really she is just getting the other line connected to a socket in the house.
Many moons ago before the adsl/2+ craze, my family had the second line hooked up and had the dial-up connection over that. Got Adsl and disconnected the second line. _________________ Games for Sale

I've got a PS3 with 4 accounts on it. 3 of which are mine while one is my housemate's. My housemate gonna get a PS3 for himself and the question I got is, is there a way to transfer all the save games on his account to his new PS3 w/o affecting my accounts?
I can't use a usb-stick to do a transfer, as the games are copy-protected and locked. _________________ 「貧乳はステータスだ!希少価値だ!」 - 泉 こなた

Playstation Plus accounts should be able to upload copy-protected save with a 24 hours wait to get it back (24 hours wait only applies to copy-protected games, otherwise it is instant). _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

Is there any way to get Firefox to save bookmarks as individual .url files like Internet Explorer does?

No. One one around it is to export these bookmarks in Firefox through the Bookmarks Management and then import it into IE Favourites browser and you will get those individual .url files. (I found IE import from other web-browser feature to not work that well so I manually export from Firefox). _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

Benz, that happens to me regularly. I usually have to just wait for an hour/day and then it seems to work again.
Could it be a server issue? on PALGN? _________________ Da Bessssss

Hello Benza,
Unfortunately, PALGN.com.au is built upon an older version of the PHP BB Forum software, and Control Panel has not been fully introduced yet.
We're estimating that it will be added in early 1998.
Thank you for your enquiry. _________________

Anyone here go or has previously gone to either RMIT or Melbourne Uni? That's some poor sentence structure right there
If yes could you possibly give me a small rundown of campus life, general curriculum thoughts and other general course/Uni/whatever things that you liked or didn't like.
Am looking at probably one of these two for next year studying Software Engineering or something of that ilk.
Thanks. _________________

I studied software engineering at Melbourne and have been teaching second-year tutes and labs for a few years now. I strongly recommend against going there for software eng/computer science/anything of the sort right now. I don't know what kind of thing RMIT does, but Melbourne's course has gone way downhill since the introduction of the Melbourne Model - first year is co-taught with Information Systems (and available as breadth to other students) and has been way dumbed down - you learn basic Python and don't touch C till second year - so the kids coming into my second-year classes basically know nothing unless they've had the initiative/drive to do their own programming stuff and teach themselves things. No more advanced classes, either. There have been a lot of subject cuts, eg. the 3rd year computer design subject (which I've found infinitely helpful) is gone completely, Networks and OS have each been chopped in half and shoved in together, ditto Graphics and Interactive System Design. There aren't any database subjects in the CS department anymore, you have to go to IS for that. Budget cuts mean that most lab classes only have one demonstrator instead of the two there used to be in the more prac-based subjects, so you don't get as much time from them either (and believe me, this is really annoying, it's disproportionately harder to get around to the same number of students with half the personnel).
There's also a building move (Commerce stole our building) and a department merger with IS in the works, so you'll be caught up in that as well.
I'm happy to answer any further questions you may have about Melbourne, MSN me if you want _________________
