I'm loving the battle system of Xenoblade. I mean the auto attack, don't need to keep mashing a button to slash with your sword, because.. it auto attacks when you're close to an enemy! Towns are also big, I'm ignoring the optional quests for now as I want to get into the main story. Think this is one of those 'too much to do' type of JRPGs where you have to find the right balance for you, do too many quests and you might forget the main story XD Only the skills have a cooldown so calling the battle system a FF12 + White Knight Chronicle hybrid is pretty accurate. _________________

Hey, where did you order from? My copy was shipped from Ozgameshop 7 days ago. So if yours came from the UK then mine shouldn't be too far off now _________________

I kinda did that too, but then I was underlevelled and some big things came along and made mincemeat of me! I just accept tons of quests and don't go out of my way to finish them...But if I see the enemies to kill or items to find along my journey I'll do it. _________________

I ordered from game.co.uk their international shipping is 5 working days and it is damn accurate in that regard =p I think I'll start posting the rest of my thoughts on the game in this thread instead of the Xenoblade one. _________________

Cool. I reckon this game is near perfectly suited to a handheld console.

oh **** **** gets real so early on in the game >_> The cinematics are great. Probably a good time to take a break - after 2nd system save point.
I think there are heaps of missables so if you are a completionist, you may want to do all the hometown optional quests asap. _________________

Been playing through Suikoden 5. I've just discovered that my official PS2 controller won't bring up the menu screen, despite those buttons working flawlessly in other games. On the other hand, I managed to dig up a 3rd party PS1 controller and it works fine with that (was surprised it would plug into a PS2). Unfortunately that controller has weathered through the ages and needs a really good clean to be in a usable condition.

No one ordered Xenoblade at work so I think it is being turned into a special order item. That's quite sad!
Probably just for my little store though. I'm sure someone asked about it at the larger ones.
Doesn't bother me as it's still cheaper to import it than buy it from there with staff discount. _________________

Not surprised. Noone advertised xenoblade outside the interwebs and all interwebs peeps know that importing is the cheap. _________________

We had display cases for it and to be honest I was surprised we even had that. _________________

Maybe most people don't like RPGs in Brisbane? That was my impression when I was raised there as a kid.
Pokemon could be seen as an exception though (if you wanted to go as far to call it an RPG) _________________

Pokemon is just as much of an RPG as a Final Fantasy game. Just like FF, it sells because people know the name. Not many people know the Xeno series, so it struggles. _________________

Possibly. I've worked at two stores and at both I've been the only one to play RPG's. They always pick on me about it but all they play are CoD clones so..
I'm sure people do like them.. But then since nothing gets released here anyway, they've probably looked into importing and then do that for everything now.

Xeno doesn't sell because Namco trolled us by releasing Xenosaga 2 but not 1 and 3, especially when 2 had a cliffhanger-ish ending.
Anyway http://store.nisamerica.com/Atelier-Totori-PS3-Premium-Set?whence= bought straight away. I wish the posters were 2 artcards instead, I hate posters, blutack destroys the wall. But yeah this isn't going on my backlog, it's a play asap coz I enjoyed Rorona. Why is NISA doing soft cover artbooks now? Are they that short of money? I'm guessing choosing to releasing Hyperdimension Neptunia did more harm than good to their business D= _________________

Just bought it too. Thanks for the heads up. Will have to cancel my other order for it but I couldn't pass up the premium one. _________________

ok guys it seems that once again I will be purchasing Atelier Totori PAL and selling off my NTSC copy, any takers? =p there are playable characters DLC (Cordelia and Iksel from the first game) so I really need to get a local one. A shame though, I like the totori game case art for the NTSC whereas the PAL one is using the same art as the artbook cover and outer box art of the premium edition. _________________

I was at the Myer Centre EB today and the guy was surprised that I knew a fair bit on my RPGs. He was saying it had been ages since he last talked RPGs.... I guess RPG fans are few and far between in Brisbane... _________________

So, just a quick heads up about SMT: Devil Survivor Overclocked being released. I ordered my copy today, is anyone else planning to get it? I suppose most of you that have a U.S 3DS would have played the DS version already, so I may be the only one. _________________
