Anyone who has or is getting the PC version, first to PM me can have an "Explosive Mission Pack" DLC code. I bought the Augmented Edition on PC, and it already comes with that DLC (as well as some Tactical Pack), so I got an extra code from pre-ordering.
Also, what's the best fov setting for a 16:9 1080P monitor? _________________

Does anyone have a spare Xbox 360 code for the tactical enhancement pack/explosive mission pack or whatever? When I bought my copy the guy said I'd get one and I assumed it would be in the sealed 360 case, but alas, no code. _________________

Interesting article/comparison of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. I didn't know that the PS3 version would only go to 720p. |
99% of all console games on both platforms only go up to 720p.
Anyway DE:HR is what I expected; GOTY contender and one of my favourite games this gen. Not much needs to be said other than if you're not playing, you're doing it wrong. _________________

So many unskippable logo when you start the game. >.> It's so satisfying sneaking around in this game. I'm trying to leave as many enemy conscious/alive as possible. Only gripe i have with this game is the loading time..i'm one of those people that love to quick load mistakes.
Btw what kind of upgrades are people taking? _________________ Steam: Emilbus

Only played the first hour so far. Very impressed with the attention to detail so far.
I splurged on the collector's edition, which is one of the better ones I've bought.

i take anything written on lens of truth with a grain of salt but as jarrod said alot of them are 720p or less then in most cases are upscaled. _________________

Oh wow, thank god for the patch that just released this morning. Load times are now 5-10 seconds for me, compared to up to 30 seconds prior to the update. _________________

Have heard load times are drastically reduced if you turn V-sync off.
As a whole the game is awesome but I assumed the AI would be stronger. Accidentally picked the hardset setting and the stealth bits I've done so far are either very easy or hard. The line of sight doesnt seem too far, I can walk straight in front of certain enemies at a medium distance, yet when I'm completely out of sight and make two steps outside of crouch mode and I'm detected and killed.
Can't really comment any more as I'm still essentially in the demo. Alot of people seem to be complaining about the graphics, but I reckon the attention to detail within the world is fantastic. Sure it's no Witcher 2, but they're hardly worth complaining about in my opinion as a whole.
On a lighter note, it looks like 'forever alone guy' stands the test of time even in a world of augmentation:

I've only played this for about 20 minutes so far but already it's pretty much worth it for the music alone. _________________ Welcome to the internet. Where any joke can turn into WWIII.

Finished.
+1 to Jarrod. One of the best games this generation, way up there for GOTY.
Mind blowingly good. Also, 100% eyefinity optimised; centred HUD and all.
My God. Do want to replay too. _________________

Eidos Montreal knocked it out of the park in terms of world realisation and art. Like, far and away one of the most convincing and brilliantly executed game worlds in the medium, ever, no exceptions. The authenticity to characters, world and lore is really nothing short of jaw dropping. The interior art and clothing...its like legitimate fashion and interior designers built these, and how you'd expect the future to look.
And even though everything if pretty ritzy and high tech, it fits the 'technological renaissance' theme, and still leaves room for the doom and gloom atmosphere of the original Deus Ex. _________________

I'll start with the good.
Gameplay is exactly that I expected it to be.
Story and characters are interesting.
Soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal.
Art direction is excellent.
And from a design perspective it's almost faultless so far.
If it wasn't for Portal 2, it would be the best game of 2011 (until BF3 gets released anyway).
Buuuuuutttt...
The graphics. I'm playing on 360 and the frame rate goes to shit as soon as the game opens up. Character models are bordering Oblivion levels of blandness and the animation is stiff. Disappointing in that respect but it's still pretty incredible if you get over the fact that the 360 really shouldn't be running it. _________________

I had crashes in one very specific area of the game, and I'm on a GTX570. Turning off DX11 fixed it, but the latest patch seems to have fixed it outright.
Ahh. Its so nice to have a modernised version of a classic that is still faithful to the formula, unlike some other games *looks at BioShock*. _________________

I had crashes last night trying Yo load main menu after the title videos, once I closed firefox they stopped. Might be flash related. _________________

Yeah it is happening in a particular area when I try to explore. If I go the way I'm meant to it seems fine. _________________

No crashes here, running an AMD card. The game seems massively optimised for anything AMD though. Eyefinity is seriously mind blowing in it. _________________

Yeah, the game definitely seems AMD optimised. Nixxes did a wonderful job of the PC port in general. DX11, FOV optimisation, tripple buffering, etc.
I still havent finished the game, but wont be able to until I get back from my folks over the weekend. Boo. At least I'll have Xenoblade to keep me company. _________________
