If only he were boundary riding when it happened the curse would be well and truly in effect as Bwooce crossed down to ask Richo his thoughts on the match given the Tigers gut busting to finish 9th for Richo to shed a tear and say it's his proudest moment since retiring.
Or verbally abusing Bwooce with Lethal having a giggle in the background, either one works for me.
Then C7's half time show can be Richo laying into Harley after he once again states the obvious whilst imitating a shimmy by a statue. "I can;t dodge properly in a suit, it's like all my lateral movement came from the power of short shorts!"

Especially if it were Saturday night since we're still tracking at like 28 / 28 wins with North to come this week to increase the record (or shatter it into oblivion) so it could also notch up some awesome records in the process. Although I'm not as adverse to playing the Bombers as I was say 6 weeks ago, given they can't seem to retain players on the park (lost Crameri on the weekend get Hurley back after injury this week, bye next week, Hurley goes down and you're playing out of form ruckmen or backmen as your FF) but still, Sydney in Melbourne please thanks. Also if our blokes stay off the funny curry would be even better.

Man... I've been mostly ignoring the Supercoach team and just doing tipping. My team had been labouring on about 1300 points/week for about the last 3 months, and I check it just now and I won through to the prelim last week scoring about 2K. Still would have lost to all the top 8 sides, but got the top score in my bracket. Still have 21 trades left.
Speaking of tipping, I guess the other 3 of you guys doing it stopped bothering. I guess I'll keep my spoons.

yeah, sorry about that I was the reverse - tipping kind of took a second place to SC. I'd have loved to do both properly but there are only so many work hours that I can waste. _________________ Da Bessssss

There will be a next season... unless the Herald Sun gets closed down in some kind of phone hacking scandel
Hopefully there will also be another PALGN competition too. Interest was reasonable this year... although a few people clearly got bored after the first few weeks (days?). It would be really good if we could have 2 leagues, then we could start some fun stuff like a PALGN leaderboard and league vs league comps. Just to make it a bit more interesting for everyone. _________________ Da Bessssss

Yeah but then I'd have to go back to try being semi serious and thinking about it instead of contemplating what joke I'm going for this year, and that is a bad thing.

Well despite getting completely owned by Alistair Clarkson this week, I seem to have quietly become the inaugural PALGN Supercoach Champ over Cro (2227 - 2110), could have been a lot closer had the collies not wobbled and the choice of captain not been Swan. It was a sorry state of affairs having to play both Callinan and Talia, and I got completely dunked on in my other league (opponent scored 2536). _________________

Congrats Cerebral, it's a red letter day in the history of PALGN. If I was any good at photoshop I'd make you a banner for your sig.
Bit of a rough grand final week for everyone I think, lots of magpies missfiring, lots of hawkes out and pretty much everyone had to play some rookies. Luckily I had a lot of multi-position players... I actually ended up winning 3 out of the 4 leagues I was in so not too bad for me.
Although it's a pity the Tiges lost, we could have had our traditional 9th place again. _________________ Da Bessssss

I also have good news, round 23 saw me 1 tip up on the nearest tipster and as such round 24 saw me run out winnar! in the tipping comp at the pub.
$500 be mine, and the bloke who kept at it the entire season how I was cheating my arse off is going to get a plushie octopus to the face. Because where else am i going to put him when I'm collecting my money if not over the corpse of mine enemy!

Speaking of, being a Freo fan myself and peeved at the recent coach change, what's your take on that story Cro?

Whilst I'm not Cro I also share a 3 letter name and love for the Saints, I echo the disappointment line as there were much better ways to go about it but how it unfolded has just soured the mans reputation and the integrity of AFL clubs.
Of course, I've also seen people threaten to kill the bloke, so, sentiment seems to range from disappointment to pure unadulterated rage on the matter.
Good luck to Lyon though, and to Freo, it's purely self serving though but I do hope he doesn't get them a flag, since who would we lord it over then with "at least we've got 1, yeah? YEAH!"

It's funny, it seems like the only people happy about the whole thing are the Fremantle footy club (but not the members) and Lyon. Everyone else is pretty ticked.

It's hard not to be disappointed and feel like you've been lied to.
Just really don't like the way he and Freo went about it, pretty much the vanilla St Kilda fan response.
I always had a soft spot for Freo, historically haven't had a great run, like us, but now they can go fuck themselves.
People saying it's okay there's no loyalty anymore? Fuck that, it's part of what makes sport so great. Each club has these blokes who you get attached to for 10 plus years(see Pav putting up with Freo being crap forever), they go into you club folklore. I really thought Lyon would become the second coach to become a St Kilda legend... _________________

Bless my mother and her bandwagoning ways, half way through the 3rd quarter she changed the channel and told us to shut up and turn the TV down (me being a Saints and my father being a Bomber) being the dutiful people we are, we started cheering and turned it up.
Then my older sister (the cats supporter) sent my mother a text of a cat with a dead magpie in its mouth, she cracked the sads and muted every sport break she found trying to live inside a bubble.
In my experience it's much better burying your head in your hands and just having a good old fashioned sob.

Hawthorn softened the Magpies up for Geelong to feast on
We probably would have also been belted on Saturday, perhaps a worse scoreline than Collingwood suffered.
I enjoyed it, i thought Geelong were cactus several times, but loved that they over powered Collingwood when it counted the most.
