Ok, so I've bought myself a portable HDD. Part of the reason I bought one was to backup my PS3. I read that the PS3 can only read the FAT 32 file system. Apparently, to format your HDD to FAT32 it can't be larger than 32 GB. Unfortunately, my HDD is 750 GB. I only have a vague idea of what I'm doing here, but I wonder if it's possible to partition my portable HDD so that I have a 32 GB FAT32 partition and the rest in exFAT or something. If it is possible, how do I do this?
Also, does that mean I can only backup 32 GB of data from my PS3? If that's true, it sucks.
Thank you in advance for any help!
EDIT: Temporarily have split it 32GB/ the rest, but i'd like to have the 32 GB FAT32 partition to be larger. I should mention I don't have access to earlier versions of Windows than Vista, or to Linux. Apparently it's the later versions of Windows that have the 32GB restriction on formatting FAT32 harddrives, although if your HDD is already on FAT32, it will handle it fine. Stupid Microsoft.

Windows will not let you do this with the built in tools. Try this fat32format GUI tool _________________
