I downloaded the demo this morning and it seems alright. At first I didn't really like it, but once I got used to the vehicles handling, I started enjoying it. While the driving is fun (and the 'shift' mechanic is actually really cool when you try it yourself), there's really not much else to the game to tempt me to buy it (will probably just rent). The graphics are fairly bland. Vehicles look good, and it runs at 60fps, but the city looks shit with alot of aliasing. And I'm not getting the PC version due to Ubisofts fucking stupid DRM (though I can always just use a crack like I did with Splinter Cell Conviction). Lastly, I probably shouldn't make hasty judgement on this, but the way they're trying to tie the 'shift' mechanic into the story is a bit ridiculous. I don't know though, I never believed Shattered Memories could have an ending where it all makes sense upon the revelation (one of the best game narratives ever), so I'll wait and see.
Oh, and what the fuck is with the advertising in the game? There's a billboard practically everywhere, all with Ubisofts logo...

I found the demo really fun but the whole shift thing is still dumb as hell in a Driver game. I really hope it's just all a dream.
Also why does Tanner have a sense of humour and crack jokes now?

Worst voice acting and script ive heard in a long time.
They are going for the hollywood movie style cutscenes and such, GTA4 leaves it for dead.
I agree the shift thing is cool, but almost cringe worthy the way they try to explain it in the story.
Positives? Frame rate is nice
