As for RPGs; there is also (probably more, I'm not that RPG inclined)
Tales of Symphonia 2
Rune Factory: Frontier
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (strategy)
Final Fantasy: Crystal Bearers
Phantom Brave
Fragile Dreams
Xenoblade Chronicles is coming to Europe this year and The Last Story is all but confirmed for Europe too. Both are of high quality.
Some other games you should consider:
A Boy and His Blob (platformer)
Ghost Squad
Trauma Centre: New Blood
Pikmin 1&2 Wiimakes
Punch-Out!!
Battalion Wars 2
Another Code R
Boom Blox
Bully: Scholarship Edition (the better of the enhanced ports)
Pro Evolution Soccor
Rabbids Go Home
Disaster: Day of Crisis
Mario Kart Wii!
Hope that helps! _________________

I'll probably grab a few key titles that I've missed, such as Twilight Princess and Super Mario Galaxy... maybe MadWorld. But they aren't upscaled or anything, and with porting games from current gen only taking a couple of months, I'm thinking the launch lineup will be pretty overwhelming as it is. I'm expecting WiiU will have definitive versions of a bunch of blockbuster releases from this gen at launch or not long after.
Games that were released on current hardware, sometimes 720p or lower, up to 30fps gameplay, with textures and other assets all designed to fit into 512MB of RAM... upgraded to run at 60fps in glorious 1080p with improved textures and effects...
Oh man, I really hope Rockstar port all their current lineup to WiiU...
Back on topic though, are you able to use the classic pro controller with all Wii games, or are there some that you need the Wiimote for?

You might be interested in knowing that Dick Smith's next catalogue will have the Wii and Mario Kart Bundle for $148.
That's a great price and since the Mario Kart Bundle retails for around $80-$100, its a very cheap way to get a new Wii console. Could be worth thinking about.
As for games, you've got them pretty much covered, but a few more I'd recommend are..
New Super Mario Bros
Super Mario Bros Anniversary
Klonoa
Super Paper Mario
and definately get Mario Kart, Super Mario Galaxy 1/2, Brawl, HOTD: Overkill and Metroid Prime Trilogy. _________________

The first Prime is the best of the three so Trilogy is the way to go, except a lot harder to find.

Thinking of getting a Wii out of my tax and I have some Wii-noob questions.
- With the pro controller, do the sticks click in like R3/L3? It doesn't really matter, I'm just curious.
- With Goldeneye, does it have speedrun-type challenges like the original?
- I heard something like you can only have 1 Mii acc/console, is this BS?
- Does the console have any storage for saves etc?
Thanks

- No. They're just normal sticks.
- Yes, it has time trial challenges, all set for the hardest difficulty. No reward for finishing them though, which really sucks (I wanted classic cheats!).
- BS. You can have hundreds of Miis.
- It has 512mb of flash storage from memory, where game saves, Mii data, channels and other crap are stored.

Nope.

No idea. Someone else can explain.

No, you can store some ridiculous number like 64.

512mb internal for WiiWare and saves, and also support for SD cards up to 32gb (some games don't support SD cards above 2gb, though, due to really shonky firmware design.) _________________

I loved playing Tales of Symphonia, I'd totally play a second one on the Wii.

Dead Space Extraction. Shooting fun at its finest!
Animal Crossing Blah blah blah City. If you like AC, you'll love this. I do.
Madworld. The best black & white & red game you'll play. Brutal. _________________

Add Everybody's Rhythm Tengoku (Rhythm Heaven) to that list. Import it as it's not really reliant on text at all.
You can wait for the pending local release but date is still unknown and the cool j-pop songs will be replaced by english versions or at worst instrumentals. _________________
