As you're all probably aware, 3DS early adopters are getting free games. Ten NES games, and ten GBA games. We know five of each. See below.
Free Virtual Console NES Games
Super Mario Bros.
Donkey Kong JR.
Balloon Fight
Ice Climbers
The Legend of Zelda
Free Virtual Consome GameBoy Advance Games
Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island
Mario Kart Advance
Metroid Fusion
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames!
Mario vs. Donkey Kong
That leaves five NES and five GBA games remaining. Wish list time! What would you guys like to see?
Here's my list. I picked Nintendo developed/published titles as I expect the free games will be theirs, and not third party unfortunately. You guys can list whatever though.
NES
Metroid
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (might as well go for doubles)
Super Mario Bros. 3
StarTropics
Punch-Out!!
GBA
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
Metroid: Zero Mission
Advance Wars (or Black Hole Rising)
Mother 1 + 2 (HAHAHA)
Mother 3 (HAHAHAHAHAHA *tear*) _________________

Wouldn't mind a bit of Superstar Saga.
Or Fire Emblem. _________________

NES:
Zelda II
Metroid
Kid Icarus
Kirby's Adventure
Final Fantasy (my long shot choice.)
GBA:
Fire Emblem
Zelda: Minish Cap
F-Zero Maximum Impact (good place than any to get the series noticed again.)
Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga
Zelda: A Link to the Past (minus Four Swords, of course)

Link to the Past must be included. I really hope Minish Cap is as well.
The known list is really good though. Unlike having them on my Wii, I actually would play them on a portable device.
I guess Nintendo figures (going from current prices) the total worth is around $100 AU.
This brings me back to when they dropped the N64 price and I got Pilotwings 64 from Nintendo. _________________ Shin J Leon.

If it was a Zelda game for the GBA, it would most likely be the Link to the Past port. As much as I like the game, I wish they'd port Minish Cap over. It's such a forgotten gem of the Zelda series, appearing at the end of the GBA cycle so most people haven't played it.
Wouldn't mind if Golden Sun (or the sequel TLA which is the superior one) would appear for the GBA.
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow/Circle of the Moon would be fantastic as well.
I'd be curious if they'd allow Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire as one of the free games. Back then my interest in Pokemon went from extremely enthusiastic to nothing (stopped at Gold/Silver, picked up Black/White so I missed out on R/S and D/P), but I have a feeling it won't happen.
And everything else that people mentioned above.

When you think about it, if Oracle of Seasons/Ages and Majora's Mask were ported to 3DS in some way too, you could almost say it's the unofficial home of Zelda. The only thing missing then would be the GC/Wii era.

Hmmm, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Zelda, Golden Sun, Kirby, WarioLand and I'm sure there are others I missed. The GBA did really well in being a portable fun system. there are so many games I'd want to get. I hope they bring more to the eShop when the GBA section is released. _________________ "If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not for you."

The list of games so far is awesome, even though I already have a few. Here is my wishlist:
NES
1. Super Mario Bros. 3
2. Kirby's Adventure
3. Metroid
4. Punch-Out!!
5. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
GBA
1. Golden Sun
2. The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
3. Advance Wars
4. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
5. Donkey Kong Country
In all honesty, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Fire Emblem and probably Pokemon Emerald all deserve to be on the list moreso than some of the games I picked, but my list is of games I don't already have. Unfortunately I doubt they'd include a main Pokemon game, maybe the Mystery Dungeon game. _________________

So we get early versions of the Nes games, and then the updated versions. Will it actually be an update to each game, or a completely new game? Because if it is a new game, will that mean we will lose the save games? (or did Nes games even have save games? Been so long since I owned one).

Super Mario Bros. 3 GBA and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror are both apparently confirmed, so there's 3 more GBA games.
I loved Mario Tennis on GBA, so I would take that, but it would also be good to have some games I haven't played, like Golden Sun, Advance Wars, F-Zero or something. _________________

Got the NES Games a few days ago, for those that didn't know, the full list of games is:
Super Mario Bros.
The Legend Of Zelda
The Legend of Zelda 2
Wrecking Crew
Mario Open Golf Tournament
Metroid
Yoshi
Balloon Fight
Donkey Kong Jr.
Ice Climber
I've played them all, they work fine. But the games I find just don't hold up. They're not that fun. I'm more excited for the GBA games later this year. _________________
