So iPhone and Android have been the super powers of mobile gaming for the last couple of years... Do you think there will be room for WP7?
Now we've all heard of how Nokia are wiping the Symbian platform from their phones and will be upgrading to WP7.
The reason Nokia chose WP7 was said to be due to them wanting to keep the market competitive and taking on WP7 meant there would be a TRIO of operating systems rather than a super duo.
This means that WP7's share in the market will go up considerably.
However has this come along to late?
Will Nokia's die hard fans switch to other Symbian based phones when they make the switch or will the consumers be happy to try the platform... or worse... will this push them over to iPhone or Android due to the fear of the unknown WP7 platform?
I leave the discussion up to you! _________________ Ignited by our passion.

Nokia haven't made a decent phone since like 2005, so it's unlikely that hitching their wagon to WP7 will help them any.
As for WP7, Microsoft are moving too slowly. The Mango update should have been here yesterday, but that won't happen. Not enough manufacturers are getting on board, and Nokia is hardly a selling point for reasons I've stated above.
Not to mention that Metro is a horrid user interface. Even the default Android UI is nicer to use than that abomination. It's like a UI designed by someone who has no creativity or imagination.
Microsoft should abandon WP7 and just buy WebOS from HP. _________________ Twitter | XBL: Tamaaya | PSN: stormo | GameCentre/Steam: StorminNorman

IMO, Window Mobile OS didn't really had a great history and everytime I read Window Phone 7, I get reminded of the horror experience from Win Mob 6.5 that my friend put up with, it's still unforgivable for me by the fact it wasn't easy to just upgrade the OS with a phone that was capable of running it but somehow just doesn't want to play nice (this phone was the Sony Xperia X1). Annoyed with the lack of support, my friend's phone got replaced with an iPhone and is now a very happy iPhone owner.
I have to agree with StorminNorman on the interface. My first impression of Win 7 didn't impress me and I got lost navigating through the phone and I found it to be too busy and not clean. I'd rather the iOS (most simplest) or Android UI (for the more technical minded as it is more complex). _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

For anyone who doesn't know, you can FORCE your Windows Phone 7 to update to mango right now. It's on the update server but not publically available in Australia yet.
To force it (and it is the official update for your specific device not some dodgy one), click update in Zune > Phone > Settings, and within 1 second of clicking the word Update, unplug your ethernet cord / disable your wifi / in some other way kill your computer's internet. It will continue to search for the update using 3G, and instead of saying up to date, it will update your device to mango. When it says Update Available, plug your net back in and away you go.
Mango is AWESOMEZ. _________________
