I do...
For about 2 reasons, 1st being that they're different compared to most puzzle games while the second is that puzzles are a great way of sharpening the mind. Plus I'm willing to bet there will be a dose of symbolism in each puzzle (bosses probably).
That being said, the dating sim stuff will almost definitely be more interesting. I figure most people will be willing to trudge through the puzzles to get to more story and still be satisfied with their purchase.
However it's also likely that fans will be disappointed considering the hype and the way it's been marketed for the most part.

I think it's been marketed the wrong way. Everyone I've seen talk about the game think it's an explicit erotic game which is simply not true at all. Even IGN's video review on Youtube has "hentai" as one of the tags .

I stumbled upon a cheap copy of Shin Megami Tensei Digital Devil Saga 2 at ozgameshop for PS2, i'm really temped to get it. It'd be my first game in the series, how easy would it be to get into? Is it a good start? I'm a fan of RPGs like Dragon Quest and i've been looking for something a bit different. _________________ www.pietriots.com - a shitty blog

Digital Devil Saga is very accessible. It's similar to Nocturne but less emphasis on dungeon crawling and more on story and character development. I always recommend DDS as a starting point for anyone interested in the Shin Megami Tensei series.
I wouldn't start at DDS2 though. It's a direct continuation from DDS1 and really only half of the saga. If you can try to track down a copy of DDS1 before starting DDS2, it's generally pretty cheap too if you look on ebay.

I was looking over the preorder lists from EB Games with the Manager (going through what potential games will be out), and I saw Catherine listed in the database with a placeholder date. Don't know if it's a mistake or not, but we'll know in due time I guess _________________

Actually better than I was expecting. The pizza box is smaller and not as flimsy as I thought it would be. I definitely prefer Catherine on the PS3 version cover . And a full color manual, thank you Atlus!

Every manual should be in colour imo, it's so much nicer! _________________

Dungeon Crawl and Videogameplus have the Deluxe edition for preorder. Dungeon Crawl is located in Melbourne, and VideoGamePlus are located in Canada I believe _________________

Ozgameshop have it on their site, which is probably where I'll be getting it from. I wonder if I'll still get the soundtrack and artbook? _________________

Still debating whether I should go for Ozgameshop where I can get it for around $50, or videogamesplus/play-asia where I can get it for $70 with the bonus artbook/CD... _________________

Catherine has finally been released! Looking at the latest email from Atlus, it seems the game is getting good reviews from pretty much everywhere.

Hurry up and ship it VGP! I should have opted for courier shipping. It's gonna be a long week... or two.
The publicity Catherine is getting is just immense. I was seriously doubtful it would even get localized last year. It's also showing a surprising amount of people have some kind of grudge against Japanese culture and anime in general.
