So I watched TNA Destination X
The show overall was nothing special, even the Ultimate X match was meh. but two matches can easily be called instant classics:
RVD s Jerry Lynn
Brilliant, simply brilliant. Some amazing spots with the chair and great pace. Jerry Lynn didnt miss a beat.
Styles vs Daniels
A true TNA match, it had the quality of the old TNA. Really long match with literally no breaks, they just kept going.
I really recommend wtaching just those two matches, especially Lynn vs RVD. _________________

Indeed I have
Obviously the DX 2011 match is not the same, but given their age (Well Jerry's) they delivered a true ECW style match showing off some really solid wrestling and counters. A really nostalgic battle and thhe crowd was into it. _________________

It's generally not my style but I was also surprised at how well those guys went. For what it was a neat little match.
What did you make of the TNA contract four-way? That for me was the highlight of the night and the epitome of Total Non-Stop Action. _________________

I guess I'm a nostalgic sort of guy, I like matches with a good back story and history. The contract match was crazy but I couldnt really connect with it. I mean, I did enjoy it but Lynn vs RVD and Daniels vs Styles left made a lasting impact on me. It also helps that those matches were well worked. _________________

Guys
CM Punk vs John Cena MitB 2011
Lived up to the hype and more, left a wide grin on my face . Match of the Year 2011. It must be seen. Simply must.
Same vibe as Cena vs RVD at ONS 2006 but so much better .

I think the PPV has been one of the best they've ever produced since...
...s**t I can't remember.
Hell, even Destination X was decent. What is it with this month + North American wrestling? _________________

Some of the results seem to be straight out of an E-Fed but all in all the show was entertaining and it's been a relatively strong year PPV wise for the WWE.
Going into the show I thought two MitB matches were overkill but I thought both sets of competitors did well to seperate those matches from one another and while ADR winning the Raw version felt redundant (doesn't he have a claim for being No. 1 contender?) it was good to see Bryan pick up the surprising victory and hopefully he can inject himself into the SD main event seamlessly and we're not given a CM Punk 2008 type reign.
Cena/Punk was a great match and a powerful reminder that Cena can indeed wrestle and work a good match. Granted, his size does get in the way at times (it did in this match during some of the chain sequences) but when it comes to constructing a match and delivering on the big show he generally pulls through.
Christian/Orton was another fine entry into their loooong feud and while Christian on the belt seemingly confirms that the feud will unfortunately continue it's good to see him have a longer reign and hopefully it leads to Bryan/Christian down the track.
I even thought Henry/Show was surprisingly decent with both men working a precise match which featured some real good selling from the Big Show. I have a strong opinion that wrestlers such as Show, Kane, Henry and Kahli shouldn't be in the WWE anymore but both competitors brought it tonight.
All in all, if you enjoy wrestling, you'll enjoy this show.
Eyce - I'm trying to think of the last time fans were in universal agreement. While it's been a good year for the WWE PPV wise (Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, Extreme Rules and now Money in the Bank) the last time the IWC reacted like this could be the ol' ECW reunion PPVs. _________________

It's a good month to be a wrestling fan, and the Chicago crowd...I haven't seen such an electric crowd in ages. That was a wrestlemania quality atmosphere! _________________

Probably the best PPV I've ever seen. Definitely the best belated birthday present for myself ever. My birthday was yesterday, but with the time difference it was still the 17th there. I wish i could have been there to celebrate my bday, especially in that Chicago crowd. They weren't hot, they were MOLTEN!
For a moment, when Cena and Punk were on the turnbuckle, i thought Punk was gonna go old-school and do the Pepsi Plunge. For those that don't know, that's a Pedigree off the turnbuckle.
It was awesome that Colt Cabana was in the front row. I wasn't sure where he was sitting exactly until Punk came out. I wouldn't be surprised if WWE were trying their best to keep their cameras off Cabana, but Punk certainly made it hard for them when Cena kept landing right in front of him. Plus i liked seeing Punk looking and talking in Cabana's direction, and even a little high five at one point
The shirt that Punk wore was being sold at the arena and it sold out before the event even started! Even though it looks to be just a 'one night only' deal, i hope this shirt becomes available in the days to come.
The WWE tweeted "It's 12:00 a.m. ... Do you know where your WWE Champion is?"
CM Punk tweeted back "The champ is...here", and uploaded this pic.
Thanks, WWE, for an awesome event and for not dropping the ball (yet?) with this epic angle.

Money in the Bank blew this year's Wrestlemania out of the water. Chicago's crowd of 15,000 were far louder and more alive than Atlanta's 44,000+.
Definitely the best PPV in quite a while. Almost all of the results I cared for went in my favor. Good to see Daniel Bryan win MitB, Christian gets the world title back like he deserves, and CM Punk and Cena give us what is easily match of the year. It was moving to hear a crowd that excited and alive again. I also thought CM Punk was going to do the Pepsi Plunge on Cena.
The Raw MitB match was very sloppy though. Bad spots by Del Rio pushing the ladder far too fast for Miz and Evan Bourne to react. Swagger loses his footing and takes a nasty fall off the ladder and Kofi lands right on top of him. Also Sin Cara... damn I wonder if he legitimately got hurt from that powerbomb by Sheamus. It looked like there was bits of skin on the fold of that ladder he got slammed on. _________________

Jah - I didn't actually hear but Cole on commentry said Cena told Vince he didn't want to win this way.
shinhawk - Cara will have more than enough time to heal whatever bumps or bruises he has after his first suspension. _________________

Ohhh, he's taking a wellness vacation. I guess now maybe that powerbomb didn't hurt him THAT much. Kind of a bad thing to do for a new face. Unless it was something minor like Mysterio's wellness vacation a few years ago. _________________

So Punk spent his first day as the unemployed champion at Wrigley Field with Cabana to watch the Chicago Cubs play.
And he brought the belt with him.
I hope this leads to a lot of pics popping up of the belt in different places like it was a stolen garden gnome.

I thought it was a really sensible Raw with Vince doing his best to save face after MitB only to be punished by the end of the show.
I didn't like the results of the tournament, I would have preferred to have seen a mid-carder receive a push and at least make the finals but otherwise I was content with the show and it's got me anticipating what will happen next week.
Great idea killjoy, would love to see Punk do that. _________________

I believe that he legitimately injured his ribs. I do know that he has been suspened for failing the wellness policy.
He MAY also not be coming back.

I haven't seen that move before (stopped watching wretling for about 8 years) but from the description, it sounds like it could be an illegal move.
Tombstone Piledrivers are illegal for everyone but Undertaker and Kane I believe and the Air Bourne move (shooting star press?) was illegal before Evan Bourne was allowed to perform it. _________________ Welcome to the internet. Where any joke can turn into WWIII.

No doubt that the Pepsi Plunge is a dangerous move, but i think the main cause of it being 'illegal' for Punk to use it ever since he joined the WWE is cause HHH used the Pedigree.

Yeah, I'm aware he went on a wellness vacation and I also read that he is apparently very angry about WWE revealing his real name in their boilerplate press release regarding his suspension. I know that wrestlers like Sin Cara are never supposed to reveal their real name unless their mask is removed. _________________

As much as i want the belt to be changed too, i don't think it's been confirmed that it's going to happen yet. They still had the image of the current belt showing on the tournament brackets during this week's Raw. But you never know, after what happened at the end of the episode, HHH may make the decision to bring in a different looking belt.
As for the belt that Punk has in his possession, i hope he'll eventually change it. Notice that it still had Cena's nameplate on it when it was in the fridge, but it was removed when he took it to the Cubs game, so that's a good start.
Here are a couple of good ideas as to what Punk could do with the belt.
