Thought I may as well make a new topic about this. Australian app store prices are now changed, and they are now cheaper. Not a huge difference in price, but if you buy a lot it all adds up.
| Quote: | It means the pricing matrix for apps in both the company’s iTunes App Store which sells apps for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch as well as the recently launched Mac App Store priced below $10 in Australia are now $0.99, $1.99, $2.99, $4.49, $5.49, $6.49, $7.49, $8.49, $9.49 and $10.49 compared to the older prices of $1.19, $2.49, $3.99, $4.99, $5.99, $6.99, $7.99, $8.99, $9.99 and $11.99 respectively.

I praise this move, instead of blaming the no longer to blame exchange rate, they did something. Unfortunately I buy more music than apps . Hopefully services like PSN/Xbox Live/Steam etc start to follow! _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

The only unfortunate thing is that apps are still cheaper in the US, though there's probably some stupid reason for that? I don't know if there is any reason at all for a price increase on digital goods, though I'd assume not as most Steam games are the same in the US an Australia.

Taxes (GST) are included in our prices but most likely not in the US ones. Apple will also be hedging a bit in case the exchange rate drops. _________________
