I installed XP through Boot Camp on my Mac a couple of days ago, and it was working fine. I installed the latest drivers I could, restarted and it was still fine. Then I downloaded and installed AMD's overclock tool, installed it and it needed to restart for some reason. Then I restarted, and when it loaded up it automatically shut down a few seconds later. Now it always does this, is there any way to fix this? Usually I'd figure it out myself, but I'm too tired and lazy to try, and I'll just reinstall if no one has any ideas. Thanks!

Tried booting into safe mode? (F8 usually) and disabling the tool from running at start up/checking what start up processes are with msconfig ?

Many MoBo's will shut-down/restart if an attempt at overclocking fails - I'd follow the above advice and remove the OC tool / revert any changes it has made. _________________

Mac's use intel CPS's, you are using an AMD overclock tool, I assume AMD Overdrive, its not compatible with Intel Processors. _________________ MAIN PC - Phenom II x4 975 BE | ASRock 870 eXtreme3 | 2x HIS HD5770 CrossFire | 2.5TB Total HDD | 650w CoolerMaster | 8gb G.Skill | Antec Dark Fleet DF-10 | Samsung BX2450

AMD overdrive is for the GPU though, right? Either way, I hadn't overclocked anything at the moment, and I tried to boot into Safe Mode last night, but holding F8 only gave me one option, which was "Windows XP" and some other words, just a normal boot. Ah, I forgot to mention, I was trying to overclock the GPU, but yeah, I did nothing more than install it.
