Yeah, online is mostly stable but not as good as the consoles. I experience lag in probably 2 in 10 games. The 2 games are BAD though. And the connection says green. But mostly it's OK.
Hopefully Capcom fix it soon.
Online player base is a joked compared with the 360. Zero is probably the best player I've played. That's not a good thing .... (not that he is bad but it's ceratinly pretty average pickings in ranked/endless quality).

There are a few good players I've played in ranked, but most are full of scrubs. I wish it was lagless between Leon-sama and I. =((
EDIT: Got myself a Ati Radeon 6850 this morning, running the game at 1080p with everything on max, looks amazing.

I find the online better than the PS3 version for the most part, but the problem I think with lag is the opponent computer struggling with frame rate causing SERIOUS jerk/stutter.
One of the first games I played yesterday was horrendous with the stop-start action.

Oh my fucking god. I got home tonight and AE had finally finished re-downloading..... but now NO usb devices work on my laptop at all. They are all getting some sort of power but won't actually use anything; mouse, arcade stick or flash drive. I've tried reinstalling drivers and everything in device manager. fuck. I don't have time for this shit. This is why I game on consoles and use OSX for everything else.

Also on an actual serious note, my AE is still downloading. Certainly bad timing considering it's the sale week still, so server congestion is through the roof making downloads go horribly slow. Though upon turning my PC on today, I cast some sorcery on steam and I've got it downloading at over 1mb/s. Should be done mega fast oorah.

Finally finished downloading 30 minutes ago, had some trouble at first (keyboard controls = epic fail... i just wanted to boot it up and see if it ran ok). Once i connected the 360 controller, i was good to go though.
I am undefeated online so far (only 1 fight, but still... let me reflect in glory for 30 seconds ).

I think I worked it out. I think it's when my house is full of people using the wireless network it when it goes to shite. Up till when I played you guys I had been home alone. But when we played 3 people where connected to the network wirelessly.
We will sort this out though boys, I must have regular battles with Baraa-kun.

Yeah that generally does it for me too. When 2+ more people are browsing when I'm playing, it impacts my game a lot. If your playing later tonight with less people, we can try it then.

Yeah, I think that's pretty much it with the congestion from the wireless network in the house. Should be OK from tomorrow, all my vistors are leaving (currently have a boat load staying with me).
Wired is not an option where I am.

Had a few quick games then and when you're playing someone who's PC is up to scratch or not under spec'd the games are pretty much lag free. You can really notice the improvement over what I came from originally.
It's noticeably better than the PS3 version in this respect.

You mean the 15-second-long "Round 1"? It's a bit quirky like that sometimes I've noticed. Even in SP or training. Never noticed it on a console.

I've seen the start-up lag on console. BlazBlue does a similar thing quite often too.
Was good playing all four of you guys. I clearly need to practice to take on Leon or Zero properly. Not played in like a year...
Also WTF is with the new characters having story modes but not challenges? How am I supposed to learn how to play them? =(

You guys are solid. Bit of slight tinning and you'll be rocking with us in no time. I figured that slowdown thing is a bug cause I got it in the arcade mode (no fight requests on) as well. So it's not an online thing.

Played a couple of games with grim tonight, twas great fun and also hilarious due to the random deaths and ultras xD
I REALLY need a different pad than the 360 one though. The analogue actually makes my thumb cramp up and it's friggin' impossible to get some specials out on it. I was jumping around like a nutter trying to do stuff with Akuma, was hilarious.

Yeah we either need to 1v1 or get good enough to beat Leon/Zero so that we can rotate and play each other =)
BTW Ryu vs Ryu with Denny is hilarity plus!
