So playing this for the first time, it's great. There's not really any complaints I have about it so far (up to the first temple). It surprised me with how hard the puzzles were though. I know a lot of people say they are easy, but I don't play RPG's or Zelda games, so I'm used to games being (unfortunately) easy, so it was a surprise to actually have to think/look for what to do next. The 3D in it is pretty great too, the graphics overall are quite impressive and don't make me feel like I'm play a 64 game. I might have to get the new one that's coming to the Wii (Skyward Sword?), I think I've been converted

Skyward Sword You had Zelda mixed with the Elder Scrolls
I think the best part of the entire game is the music, because they stuck with the original score instead of updating it. Which reminds me, better log in and get my soundtrack CD!

Ugh, I thought Skyrim Sword at first, then remembered it was Skyward Sword but still wrote what I first thought, I'll fix that up now >_> (shows how out of touch I am with upcoming games, I just wait until games start popping up on the shelves these days xD)

I thought that was the worst part, as there is absolutely no reason to still be using low quality n64 MIDIs from 1998 in this day and age. Even the synth on most PS1 games has held up pretty poorly. _________________

Yeah I did thought it was a little strange but always happy for a few extra stars. Might be some more marketing stuff to see if its a viable option to release other titles like that to the 3DS. Who knows. _________________

Now that Zelda is complete... now I gotta decide if I keep the 3DS or not.... think im leaning to selling it. hmmm but RE Revelations looks good! |
Revelations isn't due until some vague date next year. Sell the system now while its in good condition, get your money back, and if you're still interested when Revelations arrives and the software library has grown buy it again. If things play out the way they are, there might be a price drop by then. _________________

It's the the Shard of Agony now and an Icon appears in the corner of the screen and flashes when there is a secret hoe nearby. _________________ "If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not for you."

I just finished the main quest, all hearts and 65 odd skulls. I didn't use any walkthroughs and it came in at around 33 hours. I honestly didn't remember much of the game post childhood. I only had ever played it through fully once on release way back when. I had started it many times (gamecube/VC but never played on as an Adult).
The game is just incredible. I enjoyed it so much more then when I first played it (at roughly 18). Everything about the game world is almost perfect. The size, the warp system, the exploration system, everything. The optional side quests, are just wonderfully done as well. Very subtitle but highly enjoyable. The frogs for example I never found all those years ago. It's such a better rounded and complete game then any other Zelda. Sure, it's the first real attempt at 3D zelda and the combat/camera do have some problems but overall I think it's better then WW or TP.
The port itself is perfect. The graphics are way better, the text flows faster, navi/owl isn't as annoying, so this is the best way to play the game. Touch screen items is perfect although the maps were strange (something newer Zelda has made much much better). The 3D is great, but I played half of the game with it off. I actually turned it on for exploration but dungeons off.
I wish Master Quest was enabled from the get go however. I'm not sure I could play the entire game again straight after finish the main quest. Perhaps I'll give it 6 months and then come back.
I really hope Nintendo green light MM next up. I'm also dying to get Skyward Sword. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Eiji Aonuma said in a recent interview that if there is enough demand, they'll do it. _________________

I'd rather Wind Waker than MM. Or better yet, a MM/Wind Waker combo cartridge.
Wish they'd release Oracle of Ages/Seasons and Minish Cap on the online shop, I lent mine to a mate way back and now he's in New Zealand.

I'd say they are defn on the cards. There are so many good portable games they can release on the 3DS. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Wind Waker would be better on WiiU Virtual Console, assuming they get rid of the DoF blur. _________________

How are they going to manage that with the tiny on board memory and SD card? _________________ Shin J Leon.

Minish Cap would be awesome. It would be brilliant if it were one of the five remaining free GBA games. _________________

The on-board memory size hasn't been confirmed yet, but even if it's miniscule, GameCube games are only about 1gb and the WiiU will support external HDDs and huge SD cards. _________________

I hope you are correct. It would be my dream if you could a) connect a at least 100 gig external HDD and b) Nintendo supported digital Gamecube, hell, even Wii games. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Apparantly the Wii-U will be Wii game compatible but not GC compatible.
But thats physical medium compatible, not digital. _________________
