Seconded for Jade Empire. Critical path it and it can be done in 12-15 I think.

I've beaten ME1 in one sitting but I knew where everything was.

I think it would be interesting to do Fallout 3 for 12 hours - no story missions.

Guys how long is Chrono Trigger?

Also I would aim towards modern games, older games ran longer.

I have to throw in my favorite Kotor but that might kill you.

I've done Jade Empire before but it is good enough it'd keep me busy with it, that sounds like a short list too icon_smile.gif

Thanks for all the suggestions and idea's guys I'll post the link to my livestream tommorrow night with my game choice and starting time (And my collection of snacks if i have them xD. Feel free to drop in and see how i'm doing/remind me how much i'm going to hate myself towards the end icon_razz.gif

I know its a NO to fallout 3/new vegas, but what about original fallout or fallout tactics? I can beta fallout 1 in just under 2 hours or so but thats doing side missions and on easy mode. I also know where everything is..

Tactics you can knock over in a little more. And if you liked fallout, this is a good way to get some backstory in the fallout world.

If you feel like something old school, I might even suggest mother 3...my friend wouldn't shut up about it and I got my hands on a copy today and if it wasn't for work, I would have not been able to stop :\

Ill also just say now, shining force 2 and super hydlide on the sega. I sunk sooooo many hours/days/months into those two games as a kid and recently refinished it. They dont make RPG like they used to.

*edit*

O I see you already have a shortlist. I'd put my vote in for dark chronicle. Very very awesome. But not something you can knock over in a weekend :\

How can we watch your livestream?

US got Chrono Trigger.

Europe got Terranigma.

Fair trade.

I believe the game is supposed to be the fore-father of Dark Cloud if my memory serves me correctly and just about everything about the game is great and it holds up remarkably well.

But is it beatable in 24 hours?

Out of the games listed...Jade Empire is probably the only game you can defeat in one sitting lasting 24 hours. KHII is about 30 hours from memory and can get incredibly tiresome (even for a JRPG) and Dark Cloud and it's sequal are way too large to be beaten in time.

Honestly I think America got Jipped, Chrono Trigger was rad but Terranigma was better.

I don't remember it being that long but I don't remember what my time was, probbably a bit over 24 hours but that includes trying to work out everything since I didn't have a walk through and doing all the side quests.

I honestly never liked the older Fallout's, probably blasphemy but I bought them all and tried them all and just couldn't get into them. I know if i could get into it they get really immerse but the game mechanics just didn't interest me. (Oddly enough I quite enjoy Strat-RPG's which are similar) And fallout was a big one, but i love those games and Fallout 3 (which I've finished about 5 times) I know too well to really enjoy it in this sorta run. (I'm at the point where I've gone to almost everywhere on the map at least once)

Hehe, I do recall giving terranigma a tr a while ago and being completely flabbergasted by it icon_razz.gif I do love the old style RPG's (Shining force is one I've sunk many an hour into icon_razz.gif)

------------

Alright I've decided to go with Kingdom Hearts 2 this time, not one of the ones suggested I know but It's one I know can keep me awake. (Because I'm an overly nervous bloke I almost started trying to justify my choice of game here for some reason xD) I'll be streaming it to

http://www.livestream.com/onesittinggaming?t=614190

Hope to see some of you there icon_razz.gif And assuming this goes well and I enjoy the process i might make this a more frequent thing icon_smile.gif

Oh yeah I nearly forgot, I have my snacks!
4ltrs of Pepsi
1.5ltrs of energy drink (the dragon one icon_razz.gif)
2 packets full of chocolate bars (About 25 total)
1 packet of twisties
1 cake (Love mah partner for that one ^.^)

Last but not least, if Kingdom hearts doesn't work properly, or crashes prematurely/won't capture right I'll be falling back on Diablo 2 icon_smile.gif

I know I love Roxas, I just played that part recently with my sister so it's fresh in my head and what not! Don't need to see it again so soon icon_razz.gif.

I'll tune in for the Simply Amazing Roxas part!

Yeah i'll have my mic running but i dunno how much talking I'll be doing icon_razz.gif I'm not even aware of a way to make the procaster /not/ record my voice so that worked out. ^.^;

Edit:

Also on a side note, just so everyone can chuckle at me being an idiot, I forgot i could just stick my ps2 disc of Kingdom hearts 2 in and play it with the emulator. So i wasted 6 gig downloading it -_- then realised i'd downloaded kingdom hearts /1/ not 2. It was only at that point that I remember i could just stick the disc -_-...fffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-

And Terranigma would be wonderful, iirc, at normal pace can be done in 22 hours or something around that figure. Infact that is one game I think I could play for 10+ hours and not get bored of, the whole world just evolves around you, new things pop out of nowhere lol

That was my point.

KH2 is incredibly repetitive though, even forcing you to repeat worlds to tack on more hours and it's essentially all combat and little to no puzzles or platforming.
