Hiya,
I've known about palgn for years, but only decided to sign up now because I have started a new job that requires me to sit at a pc with internet connected.. so now i have time to trawl the net looking for entertainment.

So to introduce myself... I'm 28, from Melbourne, mostly play on my DS, actually just got the 3DS (very cool concept... no great games yet). I work in a coffee company.. so I get lots of 'perks' - pun intended.
I love socialising, weather it be online or in person, but much prefer having my mates around!

... so anyway... hello everyone!!

Hi all, been a long time lurker of the forums, thought i'd actually join now and actually join in.

I'm 24 and live in Country VIC, pretty much been gaming my whole life. Only own a PS3 now though, though i did own all the next gen consoles and handhelds....just got sick of em.

Hi there.

I like games, I make movies, and I post on forums.

This is me introducing myself.

Here are some fantastic, incredible, wondrous, interesting, and profound things about me:

+ This is the only new part of this post, made specifically for the welcome thread. The rest has been copied and pasted from the introduction thread I made. This is EXACTLY the kind of treatment multiplatform pc games get these days.

+ I am taller than you. (not being cocky, it's actually a pain being tall)

+ I enjoy ambitious games the most.

+ Rpg's are probably my favorite genre.

+ I find sports games and racing games, rarely hold me interest unless then are insanely over the top like burnout. They feel like they have been sucked dry of spirit and soul.

+ I am dramatic.

+ Sometimes I rant about completely pointless things, and then catch myself, backspace the entire post, and just put a dot.

+ I sometimes put plus signs in front of things to make them seem important.

+ Favorite games? OH, nice and considerate of you to ask. Probably Oblivion, deus ex, I recently really loved red dead and fallout new vegas. And about 100 others that I could mention with little + signs at the front of them.

+ Sometimes i can be really deep, and then really stupid and not very sensitive in the same span of time. I am trying to keep both in some kind of harmony.

+ I own a ps3 and pc. I prefer my pc. I play my ps3 simply because some games are unavailable on the pc. Like heavy rain, uncharted 2, little big planet, red dead, so on. The thing I find most annoying about the ps3 is the framerates. They always dip into sub-20s and hurt the hell out of my eyes.

And I often outright lose immersion and turn the system off. This often is primarily the case when I am playing a very gameplay oriented game. Like red dead, or infamous, etc etc. Whereas I could tolerate heavy rain a lot more. Probably because it was one big movie. Also, the aliasing is absolutely shameful. Protip: You can hook up a treadmill and play a ps3 game at the same time. And it's awesome. Cannot do that with a pc.

+ I am a vegetarian, don't pick on me about it, and I won't pick on you about being someone who picks on people about things.

It would be pretty awesome if you could "tag trolls", more forums should have that ability.
