HTC Desire HD, thanks to Denny who got it cheaply and telling the whole world about it and I was getting sick of my awful cheap touchscreen Samsung phone (thank goodness for Android/Windows Phone 7s now, less likely for cheap phones to have awful OS).
Never had an iPhone before and don't think I ever will. I guess one reason could be I have an iPod Touch, interface is too similar to an iPhone and once I got the taste of Android Widgets, I don't think I could even pick up an iPhone unless they start introducing widgets (I know they eat up batteries quicker but I love widgets!).
Widgets is awsome!. I can't live without it. This is how my widgets is set up each window wise... Calendar widget <- SMS <- Favourites (to call/sms my favourite people) <- Home (shows weather and sexy animated clock)/turn on-off wifi, toggle Profiles -> StickyNotes -> Location (where <-/-> are swipe). I am able to access info without going into applications!. I could even add emails/facebook widgets if I wanted to.
Being tech-savvy, I love the freedom. The more settings you toss to me, the more love I get out of it. The least likely one I will get is Windows Phone 7. I tried it a few times but got lost easily. Not to mention the developer in me will be more than happy to one day make an Android app, since iPhone is limited to just Mac OSX (without hacking) and I have gone through an era of trying to do an iPhone app development without a Mac OSX, I was too poor to buy a Macbook pro.
Edit - Improve widgets info. _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

I recently got an LG Optimus Gt540 for my birthday. It's the first smart phone I have owned. I like it alot. Its internet capabilities and games are a big standout. Unfortunately though I had to change my plan to a more expensive one in order to be able to use it properly.
It gives me a good way to pass the time whilst in waiting rooms or any other place outside of my home when I am bored. _________________

Yes.
But also because, you know, it is a good phone. _________________

I've got a Nokia E63. For me, it sits well on the scale between functionality and affordability. Nice upgrade from the Nokia 6300 I had previously too. Before that one, I had another 6300, but it's part of a wall now in some new high-rise apartment building in town (was vibrating the concrete that was being poured to form the walls and I didn't have my top pocket buttoned).
I'd like to get something like a HTC Desire one day, or whatever the modern equivelent is whenever I get around to it.

Desire HD. It does everything for me. Hell, it has an app that rates your WANKING TECHNIQUE.
Unbelievable.
I don't use it for that though. _________________

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc - got it today. Battery is a bit ordinary, 70% used since 4.30pm but I probably have been flogging it a bit.
Trying to find a good program to convert my CD's to mp3 for some music on it. Now that I am iPhone free I want to be iTunes free as well
Looks like I may have media player finally working _________________

I went for Winamp, but wouldn't download for some reason. Will try again later.
I used to use it back in 1998. _________________

Samsung galaxy S II here. Got it because it wasn't an iphone. I know people have been complaining about battery life but my phone at the moment has been running for 1 day 6 hours and still has 39% battery left... Heaps better than my old 3gs though.
Here is my current lockscreen/home screen setup:
(obviously looks better on the phone due to amoled screen)

I still use an old Motorola Hiptop/Sidekick Slide. They were a big thing three years ago where I lived, but I'm the only one I know who still has one, they're unreliable and pretty fragile.
I got a phonecall the other day though saying they were closing down the entire network the phones run on in October. So the Hiptop-exclusive plan and everything will be unusable, which really sucks because the plan was only $30p/m with unlimited sms, mms, email and internet.
Poor old Hiptop. _________________ When I get old, I'll live alone and be a crazy old cat lady. The police might question me, but if I drop a bag of cats, I'll tell them the cats aren't mine and I don't know where they came from.

This poll is racist, if its not one of those four it isnt a smart phone huh?
I use a HTC 7 Trophy running Windows Phone 7 and couldn't be happier. Despite my utter glee Microsoft is releasing an absolutely amazing update soon which tech sites the world over claim is the best thing ever, so I guess once I get that I'll be walking around with a ridiculous grin on my face.
In fact the only thing that irritates me is that I got it on Vodafone. _________________

I just bought myself an HTC Wildfire (not the S) for dirt cheap as my old Nokia E65 rapid starting to lose its charge. Still trying to get used to Android and haven't made my mind up on whether HTC Sense is any good.
In the next year I'd like to get a Windows Phone but will probably wait until Nokia shows off its phones. _________________

Samsung Galaxy 5, as it was the only pre-paid Telstra Android besides the Wildfire at the time, and I am a poor student. Other reasons are Android is far superior to iOS IMO, and Sybian is gonna be abandoned by the end of this year iirc.
Given a decent amount of money now, would go for another droid. I hate iPhones, don't get me started on it, and hate M$ as of late, so there go the alternatives.

Perhaps, compared to normal phones, but it's quite an average smartphone. It took them 4 revisions to get simple features like MMS and a front facing camera. Not to mention their utterly broken multi-tasking implementation. But perhaps most damning of all for anyone interested in games - they doubled the GPU's speed from the 3GS but effectively gave it four times as much work to do.
I'm on a HTC Desire HD. Which also curiously lacks a front facing camera, the Incredible S fixes that and is basically the same hardware so anyone not wanting to splurge on a Galaxy S IIcould do far worse than the Incredible S. _________________

I'm anticipating a November/December release again and I think LG will build it. Or maybe Sony-Erricson, they seem to be really pushing for some Android cred at the moment. If it's the latter I might consider importing it from the US before the gimped version gets shipped to Australia. _________________

I love that phone. If it had a capacitive screen and could send MMS it would be so much better.
This phone just goes to show that Nokia can still make great phones, they just needed to get away from Symbian... Though I don't think WP7 was the best way to go.

Yes.
But also because, you know, it is a good phone. |
I'm anti iPhone, they drive me wild, apart from it being the most returned phone for problems (70%), it's created a whole new class of people that think they are better merely by owning the phone. The amount of people that come in telling me about their iphone bill, iphone plan, and iphone problems drives me wild...
So many iphone bogans.
Anyway, I use an xperia play. Got it for the game controls, so I can play with the emulators properly, I prefer the screen quality on my galaxy s though. _________________

The original no MMS problem is gone now, thanks to someone making an app (called fMMS) that can send and receive MMS.
It was abit fiddly but I got it to work. _________________

Just back to the subject of cd to mp3 software for a second, I just discovered that you can also rip CDs to mp3 using wmp 12 (I don't usually use wmp, so it's probably old news). You just don't get the variable bitrate option you get with CD to MP3. That's cool though, I always thought wmp only ripped to wma's or whatever they are...

I've got an iphone 3gs, it connects well to the car and does everything I want it to. Cheap apps and a tonne of functionality on a reasonable plan made it worthwhile. I might upgrade to a 5 when they're released but I'm happy with it.
Never liked apples products before, but now I'm considering buying an iPad for uni lectures and things.
The new update coming for the iphone fixes the couple of things that I didn't like (notification management is the main one) and I'd happily recommend one to anybody. _________________
