Need some advice guys. Got a dsi for $149 at myer today at 40% off. They also had dsi xl's for 30 more but I decided to get the small dsi and spirit tracks for 40. Should I take spirit tracks back and swap it for an upgrade to dsi xl? Are they worth the upgrade? I'm hopeless at decisions so please make it for me!

I'd go for the 3DS, honestly.
It does so much more than the normal DSes and DSis, although standard DS games run in a smaller window on them.
Might be a bit late now though. _________________

DSi XL isn't an 'upgrade' persay, just a bigger model. It has no advantages over the standard DSi except simply being really, really big by comparsion.
Unless you really want a bigger system, I'd stick with the standard DSi. _________________

If I had to choose between a DSi and XL I'd go with the XL because of the larger screen.
Easier on the eyes (I need glasses). _________________ Recommended Online Video Game Retailers

I'd say the 3DS all the way if it's affordable. Though there are limited games available specifically for the 3DS though.
Because then at least your future proofing yourself. _________________

Right now, yeah, but by the end of the year there will be at least a good half dozen titles worth buying for it. _________________

Thanks guys and especially to you Allen. I don't really need a massive, obnoxious screen. I'm mainly going to use it on bus trips, when we stay at my gf's parents place and my parents etc. I can't justify 300 for the 3ds. By the way jarrod, have you seen storytelling by solondz? It's a killer, giamatti rules in it.

For DSi :
DSi console offers WPA 1 and WPA 2 support, adds camera, can have a great gaming advantage to entertainment aspect advantage in which can also be synced with the Nintendo Wii when storing pictures. They are on the external casing. Within the software side, Nintendo added the feature of music playback
The DSi console has two screens
The overall size has been minimized.
For DSi xl:
Nintendo's extra large handheld bucks its predecessors' smaller, sleeker designs in light of a heftier frame and wider screen, but is it worth its equally sizable price tag -- especially with the newly announced 3DS on the horizon?
