Well, hopefully, if they don't need to develop a completely new game engine they will be able to spend more time on content and make the most of their engine. _________________

Also, closer to home, is this.
Why I refuse to pay for L.A. Noire. At least, I may pick it up second hand down the track, don't want any money going to Rockstar over it. _________________

Shit I didn't realise that... now I feel kind of bad about buying it... well more then I did about wasting 80 bucks on a shitty game filled with dead eyed zombies anyway. _________________

I find that very interesting. I tend to take things like games, movies and music on face value. If I like something or interested in it, I'll buy it. I don't not watch Batman films because Christian Bale is a tosser. Most rappers are massive idiots irl but I still support them. And Nintendo piss me off all the time and yet I still give them money over and over, and for the same damn games.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, why limit your own enjoyment/happiness because of what is going on behind the scenes? _________________

| Quote: | Below is the full statement from Crytek sent to IGN:
Relating to the recent rumours, Crytek do not have any next generation hardware from Microsoft, nor do we know when Microsoft may announce future hardware or what that hardware will entail. |

Also, this is what PlayStation Chief, Jack Tretton had to say the other day about next gen:
| Quote: | | PlayStation 3 is really just hitting its stride. And technologically, I don’t think it’s possible to provide any advancement beyond what we have. What we’ve seen from the competition is trying to add features that already exist in PlayStation 3. We invested heavily in that, we rolled a very heavy rock up a steep hill, through the launch period. But now I think that all pays off, and we’ve got a long run way behind it. So, I wouldn’t look for any discussion of a next generation PlayStation for quite some time. |

You can change the brightness, contrast and colour saturation in the options.

It takes a lot for me to completly sware off of something, I guess based on what offends me.
For the most part yeah I'm not going to not watch batman because christian bale blew up on set (Although I'm not that interested mainly cause I didn't really like the other ones), but I refuse to see a Roman Polanski film since he drugged and sodomized a 13 year old.
Likewise I'm not going to swear off Rockstar games for making people work long hours, but leaving 130 people off the credits for a game is just fucked up. _________________

I'm not swearing off Rockstar, I'm just refusing to add to sales of L.A. Noire because the stories I heard from ex Team Bondi staffers were particularly vile.
Frankly, it totally put me off the game. _________________

I get that you feel a certain way because you work in the industry and feel they may have been mistreated in the workplace, but then again you own an iPhone right?

If I was to try avoiding that, I wouldn't be part of a gaming forum in the first place... because good luck finding damned near any consumer level tech that doesn't exploit workers along the way. _________________

Sorry, I should have explained myself better. It's unfortunate that when something is big enough (games, movies, music, technology) then it will still sell through the roof, and even if 10,000 people boycotted it, it's not going to make a difference. It's a shame too. Everyone should hear about these things and group together to make a difference. LA Noire will still sell ridiculously well and Team Bondi will continue to be treated like crap. So at the end of the day, you're doing a good thing, but the bastards won't learn anything. _________________

Agree that Saints Row has the crazy corner sewn up. They're better off with a Red Dead-level of seriousness for GTAV.

Ridiculous brain wave: new GTA set in a modern version of the Red Dead Redemption maps?
Actually that could be a good mod for a GTA game _________________

I actually would like a new GTA game based on GTA2, slightly futuristic, kick-ass weapons. *puts on glasses* YEEEEEAAAAAAHHH _________________

Speaking of Rockstar, Agent was announced 2 years ago as a Rockstar North developed title and we have heard literally squat ever since.
I personally rate GTVIV my least pleasent Rockstar experience this generation. Not bad but Red Dead & L.A. Noire are so much better.
Given Rockstar is doing such good work on creating new franchises I am more looking forward to Agent than GTAV _________________

Pretty much the reason why I never applied for a job there, despite my friend in there saying at least once a year I should apply there.
But I still bought the game, and was quite surprised when I saw the size of the credits. I was expecting a forest to be destroyed for them. Also worth pointing out that TB is still independently owned, Rockstar's simply the publisher. _________________
