6/10. I actually just listened to all 10 minutes of that. Really cool instrumental stuff, nice build up. Why ruin it at the 9 minute mark with singing? And there wasn't much acceleration happening really.

So anyway, it seems this thread is becoming rock/metal/band based moreso than not. I was trying to post stuff that would appeal to everyone instead of just stuff that I like.

But now we're on the theme of acceleration, and I'm sure some of us like Tetris, so I give you Line Drop by Extended F@mm. No video, just audio. Everytime a punchline is delivered, the beat gets faster. Just like in Tetris.

6.5/10 Not my favorite type of music, but if I was drunk in a night club with that song playing, I would probably get my silly dance going.

I pretty much hate most popular pop music, but for some reason this song by Lady Gaga gets through to me. Yes I am embarrassed for admitting it. icon_redface.gif

YEAH GAGA WOOOOO 8/10. No shame. Besides, Poker Face is stupid catchy.

And on a similar subject, though with someone far filthier and totally awesome, here's some Peaches.

You owe me 10 points... can't believe I recognised that.

Takes me back, though I'm not entirely sure I wanted to go there...

Actually, I'm pretty sure that was the first single I ever bought. It's actually not a bad song, even after all these years and with the novelty value having worn off.

8/10 - Never took the time to listen to Peaches properly, thinking perhaps I should remedy that.

Dark Jedi remix of Enjoy by Björk, it's bigger sounding than the original and a get's a good beat going. The Dark Jedi remixes offer some great versions of some of her best songs - for free. Google that shit if it fancies your tickle.

(would have much preferred their fantastic and happier/dancier take on I Miss You, but it doesn't seem to be on the youtubs)

The Dark Jedi remixes of Bjork songs are indeed really awesome. I'll wait my turn on the whole rate/post thing, but on the subject of Bjork, Dull Flame of Desire would have to be my favourite song from her. It resonates with something deep inside that I haven't been able to identify yet.

Wow a song with 22 million views, it must be a cracking song, either that or there are 22 million knobs, you decide

stick that in your playlist

you can't just post a score so you can quickly post your song, you have to at least say something about it...

Generic and inoffensive goatee metal. Not bad, but not outstanding either. 5/10.

It did, however, remind me of this classic:

I remember. Sounds good. Not a fan of whiny screams though. 7/10.

Onto one of my favourites from Jeff Buckley, ultimately more tragic now - Nightmares by the Sea:

8/10 - Never did pay much attention to Buckley (yeah, yeah, shadduuuupppp!) but I know that song, heard a cover of it by a Swedish metal group - the original is much better =)

So that made me think of the cover band, and then on to better music that I started listening to around the same time:

LARD, the golden unison between Jello Biafra and Ministry, with Pineapple Face. Ahhh... gotta love it.

6.5 It's the first time I have heard it. It sounds a bit like Black Betty by Spiderbait.

Going to see Karnivool 1 week from tomorrow, so that's all I am listening to at the moment.

Great track, I didn't warm to it originally, but it eventually became one of the best on the album. I love the effect on his voice at the start.

Here's something a bit different:

8/10.

Cheese-tastic but it reminds me of Vice City and that's a good thing. Don't masquerade with the guy in shades OH NO!

Definitely don't masquerade with this guy. Manson is so strange and I'm not a fan, but this song is pretty damn good.

Not a fan of Manson, too much of a poser and music is weak. Song gets 5.5/10.

Black Sabbath - When Death Calls

The song that made me a fan of music, metal and Black Sabbath. Hearing this song for the first time was one of the biggest highlights of my teen years icon_smile.gif

6.66/10 Undeniably catchy, undeniably hilarious when dude first says "boo hoo" and keeps a straight face... then walks his blow up doll down the beach in his shitty outfit... that was a proper entertaining few minutes for me... I had to Wiki these guys... double platinum in the US off the first album, and of course the Wayne's World thing... you'll all be happy to know that they are currently in the studio writing new material... icon_y1.gif

This is INCREDIBLE! Do you think you could possibly recommend some similar tracks?

To keep the electronic feel going, Skrillex - Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites (Dirtyphonics Remix)
