Looks really impressive, but this is obviously rendered on a high-spec PC. Wonder how the console versions are gonna hold up. _________________ PSWii60

There's no tessellation going on. I wonder if it is maxed out on PC, or if they're not ready to show any tessellation (if its using tessellation at all). _________________

Funny that you ask as the first console footage was just shown.

It never looks that good when the game is actually being played.

Insanely detailed player models
Wonder if this version of Frostbite is more powerful than Cryengine 3? _________________ Steam: Vellprecise

Native DX11 support.
I'd say yes, for the moment. Though they're not outsourcing. _________________

YE BOI
EDIT: Wow, just watched that console footage, I actually feel really sorry for those dakein' console gamers. I mean, just because they're too poor and technologically impaired to be able to play games on PC I still don't think anyone deserves to have to play something that inferior _________________

I just checked out the Jimmy Fallon clip and I'm actually quite impressed with the visuals displayed while the game was being played on the PS3. Sure, the video clip displayed a scene from the game that was released as a trailer months ago, but overall I was quite happy.
As for the screenshots, the detail displayed does look very realistic. However, seeing such visuals reminded myself of the development history of Killzone 2. Whether those so-called screenshots were taken on a PC or console, I don't care. Are the screenshots pre-rendered? I don't care. Just wait for the game to be released and judge for yourself. _________________

Why is there so much PC vs console fanboy-ing happening here?
Yes, PC will look better than Console, but you'll have had to upgrade it (or spend a truckload) more recently than 2006 which is when the consoles came out. I don't think many PC rigs dated 2006 would run this game at full visuals (or if it does you probably spent 5x the amount a console costs)..
PC pay more for the rig, less for the game, it's a simple fact. You play the version you prefer and everyone should just get along..

Exactly, if you can't handle the raw horsepower and customization that PC's have to offer, then go buy yourself an Android tablet for web browsing with, and a console so you can play games without having to use your brain. _________________

It's just annoying when people make misconceptions like we have no games :] Or what you just said.. that you need a great PC to play the latest things. I hardly spend anything on my PC.. Just upgrade mid-range every few years and I play things pretty well. :]
Also people here like to wind each other up. Most of the PC gamers here also play consoles I believe. Don't let it bother you.. _________________

I find it hilarious that all of those images are linking Steam, which is a ********* online infrastructure that reminds me more of console online systems than PC gaming of old.

If you're having steam problems then I feel sorry for you son, I got 99 problems but a glitch ain't one.
It's all easy and good with steam. I've literally never had a serious issue with it. It even made reformats insanely easy because re-registering everything was literally no effort. Not understanding the hate behind it. _________________
