You posted here like 3 weeks ago.. didn't that remind you? |
Yes, yes it did, then I saw a pulsating blue light and the rest as they say is purdy.
At least that's the excuse I'm using, but yeah I think my last log in was whenever I traded out Tuck for Goodes and that was just for that trade and I logged straight back out again.
Now I need to trade B.Dick and hope there's an A.Penis on the list or something.
Edit: Trades done
Out: Be a Dick [Coll]
In: the back Dawes [Coll]
Out: Isaac Smith [Haw]
In: I wanna Krakouer [Coll]
Collingwood: the gift that keeps on giving. Despite this being a poor time to pick them up with with byes, but eh, I noticed i scored over 1,100 and still lost, I mean balls man, just downright balls. XD

Crazy trade choices there Fly boy.
If Smith is training he must be a fair crack at playing this week.. _________________

I'm sticking with my theme of blokes with a suggestive name, as such it kinda limits the talent pool I can draw from ptherwise I'd not have blokes like Weedon ad Seedsman who don't even look like getting an emergency slot let alone a game this year, or Moles who's been perennially injured despite the Doggies poor showing.
Personally I'd have used Smith as a emergency trade up if I were taking it seriously, what with seeing him at Redan since they shared a local league with Sunbury before he was picked up towards the end playing for North Ballarat.

Good thing it's not a spidey sense, you'd round the corner ready for a fight only to see a bathtub.

I'm in, I'll be joking it up so don't expect anything by way of solid performance, much like last year for me really. |
Joke = suggestive named fellatio's... fellas. But don't worry Cro, I still luff you as a fellow Saints supporter, if only he was still playing I might not be copping as many zero scores...

THREAD RESURRECTION! or should it be re-erection?
Despite the (almost) complete lack of interest in this thread I thought it might be time for an update. After all, this is the premier PALGN supercoach league
So with round 19 being a supercoach bye week there are only 2 league matches to go before finals. Given the current rankings, and fixture, it looks almost certain that the current top 7 will make the major finals. The only team in the top 8 at risk of not making the cut is Mantrasmalingerers.
Mantra is 4 point clear of both Hoomans Team (Spacecow) and springy deez (sorry, don’t recall whose team this is). If Mantra suffers a loss in the next 2 week either one of these teams could nab his top 8 spot. The most likely is springy deez, who are already slightly ahead on percentage, if they manage to win the next 2 they will certainly make the 8.
For those in the bottom half of the ladder, do not despair, you still have the minor finals to look forward to. I realise that some of you may have lost interest over the last few months…. Perhaps you got a new girlfriend and suddenly supercoach doesn’t seem so important anymore …. But let me assure you IT IS! Some aggressive trading over the next 3 weeks could see a distinct improvement and perhaps even a few wins in the finals.
Finally, special mention must be given to Fly. Their team, Jazz hands, have persisted with the phallic theme throughout the entire season. Despite not being able to register a single win, I believe there is great honour and worth in this undertaking. Well done
For those who have forgot their login and password here is the current ladder, with team, percentage and current points:
Rank Team Percentage Points
1. JP Rockbelly 123.91 48
2. Funky Bunch 115.88 44
3. My Documents 115.13 44
4. Armo's Army 121.02 40
5. Dr Van Nostrand 117.20 36
6. The Darths 109.09 36
7. Caljems Callum 107.44 36
8. mantrasmalingerers 101.28 28
-----
9. springy deez 107.87 24
10. Hooman's Team 96.95 24
11. Nerfherders 98.66 16
12. Nick's Knacks. 89.09 12
13. team sausagefest 77.29 12
14. Knight Riders 86.06 8

So with Mantra and Springy deez both getting wins, it looks like Spacecow is out of the running.

My team is the Caljems.. Still didn't touch it this week either, I'm more of a dream team guy myself, so Supercoach constantly gets overlooked.
Happy to see Saints in the 8 finally, still not convinced they are back at their best, but winning is more enjoyable than losing! _________________

Oh lawd.....
I totally stopped with this. Sorry to everyone.
On the AFL front though, Blues are doing nicely enough. A couple of bad losses to Bulldogs and Eagles but everything else has gone okay. Fight for 3rd and 4th between Hawks, Eagles and Blues is going to go down to the wire I think. _________________

^ Blues are a tough one to read, they beat the teams they should, but haven't done a lot against other top 8 sides. They don't strike me as a top 4 side yet, although I suppose the Bulldogs made it a few years in a row, but couldn't beat the other top 4 sides. I'd only have them ahead of Hawthorn based on the injuries, otherwise they are the 5th best side. _________________

As much as I hate to say this, the Blues are looking better and better as the season goes on. Murphy (while still being a massive douche) has become an elite midfielder..... if only they still had Fev down in the square
In other news, both Springy deez and Mantrasmalingerers had wins on the weekend. Springy deez are already ahead on percentage, but 4 points behind on the ladder. A win to them and a loss to Mantra would see them grab the coveted 8th spot on the ladder. To add to the excitement, Mantra will be playing top-of-table team JP Rockbelly, while springy deez takes on 3rd placed Armo's Army.
Wow, it is going to be a tense finish to the season. I wonder what ingenious trade tactics these teams will invoke to give their team the best chance! _________________ Da Bessssss

Dawes & Long out and Rockliff & Petterd in. Innuendo is hard to adhered to sometimes....

I wish, given the AFL is all male all the time it's more like a gay bar with Aker as bouncer.
Also out of curiosity is anyone beating 104 tips to date? I ask because I'm leading a comp with that so simply wanting to know if it's doing well or if you'd all pants me stupid.

104 is roughly the lead in my work comp too. I'm on 101.. so you got me beat atm.
Anyone else bet on the footy? _________________

Finals time guys!
Managed to snatch second spot in both my leagues - Sam Fisher coming in to the backline this week in what I hope to the the last piece of the puzzle (until I offload all my Carlton players should I make it to the prelims).

Eagles have such an easy run home it's unlikely Blues will keep 4th. This means they're probably going to play (read: knock out) Essendon in the first elimination final. Huge. _________________

Back from holiday and to my pleasant suprise the tiges have won 2 out of the last 3! Also I'm still in the finals for all of my supercoach leagues.
Hows the team looking Cro? Ready for the big prelim this weekend? I hope you saved a trade for Gibbs _________________ Da Bessssss

I've barely looked at this for ages (still had 11 trades left!), but I checked now, and it seems I've made it from finishing 13th to make it to the minor (see: loser) round prelims. That is as good as I am doing in the Dreamteam league I'm actually paying attention to! Sad, really. _________________

From my midseason ignoring of the team I have more trades left than weeks to use them. I think I have around 8 left.
So I guess you can be sure I have cover Gibbs this week.
Is my team any good given my lazy effort?
Very exciting finish to the season coming up, for me at least, the game against the Roos is really a final for both sides. They gave us a fair run last time, and did pick a poor side that day. They've also learned not to bomb it to Petrie every time - something St Kilda could learn from - which doesn't help.
Safe to say I am nervous!
Next year we should play dreamteam, I'm much better at it! _________________

I just logged on, 19 trades left and as expected eliminated extremely early in a no contest, but as not expected in my 2nd league there's guys who scored lower than I did (had 1300 this week with 269 points on the bench of which I could have used 143 of them to replace zeroes, so to those people who scored 1,100.... suck that one hey! XD
If only I could replace my entire team in a week and pull the old Collingwood trick of "CHALLENGE!" to make the final. But alas and woe, I am still winning tipping though with 132 I think (7 last week + 1 off the margin for the 1st game could have netted me some cash, damn you Saints!). Also, fully agree with Cro in regards to nerves, I would much rather us win sure up 6 and face the Swans in a home final instead of the Bombers or us dropping to 9th and occupying Richmonds traditional finishing point.
