I'm playing through Dragon Age 2 when I get a spare minute, too many exams, so little time .
But wow it controls well on PC!
It's pretty good, but not GREAT. I plan to finish it ASAP and then move on with my P3P game. _________________

There are many things I've found disturbing or rather strange in Atelier Rorona. Like that scene where Tiffani is drunk and does things to Rorona against her will. |
Yeah, I was often scratching my head regarding those type of scenes. Talk about strange!

Good news for fans of Vanillaware (makers of Odin Sphere and Muramasa) and 2D RPGs! Dragon's Crown, Vanillaware's new project for both the PS3 and PS Vita, has been announced. The first trailer has also been released:
It looks like Odin Sphere, but in HD. Some screenshots were also released, which truly show off just how good this game looks! I'll just post the links, as they're pretty big!

| Quote: | | Dragon’s Crown thrusts you into a fantastical medieval world packed with labyrinthine dungeons to explore, vile monstrosities to smite, and nearly endless online adventure. Your mission is to dive into the dank underworld, uncovering treasure and strengthening your mettle as you unlock the secret behind the ancient dragon threatening the world. Simple, easy-to-learn controls allow anyone to dive into the fray and enjoy the breathtaking sword-and-sorcery action. In addition to long-lasting gameplay, the game also features a vast array of character customization features – with six wildly different classes to play as, raiding the catacombs for epic loot remains fresh and engaging. |
There will be four player co-op, as well as online features. The game is currently set for 2012 release in the U.S. _________________

Wow, that's on my radar now! Awesome link Ad. I love the umm... character assets Reminds me of the old D&D side scrollers. Is it like that but with Diablo style levels/loot?

finally got adventurer's ending after wasting 4 hours of my life
attempt 1: go through dungeon, take a wrong exit, too many days wasted, reload
attempt 2: reached second last room of golem dungeon, 3 days short being allowed into the boss room coz of deadline
attempt 3: reload save from start of final assignment, do night's domain dungeon + demon boss again then go to lost city to get windrider recipe
attempt 4: reached golem place but Cordelia is on lvl 49.5!!!!!@@! I just need to kill a few more enemies to get the ending but no more left and evaluation time
attempt 5: use windrider to save days to grind, go to Hagel's to buy more meteors i made, go back to workshop... wait event? WAIT a day passed? **** my plan is messed. Reload.
attempt 6: don't use any windriders early go straight through, beat the crap out of easy golem boss, Rorona and Cordelia is on lvl48 each, windrider out of dungeon, go back to floor 7, grind, windrider, floor 7, grind, windrider, floor 7, grind WOOT both of lvl50. Out of the dungeon with 2 days spare. Rest them go through ending, see awesome ending still art, silver trophy DING. *switches PS3 off*
I'm so glad Totori got rid of days being used up travelling to and from areas of a dungeon. _________________

Playing Folklore atm, really enjoying it. Love the art style and battle system but im worried about how similar each characters storymode will be :/. I also got White knight Chronicles and Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland, so they're up next.
So i heard White Knight Chronicles II is bundling the whole original game with it so should i wait to play it that way? I'm not too sure, hmm

I say go ahead and play White Knight since you have it. You'll need to play it before playing the second game anyway, so you may as well get onto it.
The Japanese version of White Knight Chronicles 2 required you to have a completed save file from the original game in order to play! Our version only requires you to skip to the end of the included copy of White Knight Chronicles so that you can see the ending though. After that, you start the story of White Knight Chronicles 2. If you have a completed save file from the first game though, you can skip that. You're better off playing the entire original game though, as it will make a lot more sense, and you can see what's changed in the sequel. _________________

Alright sweet, I honestly think its a pretty cool idea with the save file and its awesome of level-5 to include the first game. I think i read somewhere that they had updated the first game with the new battle system?
From what i've read that seemed to be one of the major flaws with the original and they were going to update it with the new release, so thats why i was thinking of waiting on it.. hmmmm

the problem with the first WKC is that Caesar/your spear wielding avatar are the only characters practical to use. Sword takes wayyyy too long to recharge.
sooooooo I tried to get back into Hyperdimension but it was mehhh so I've resumed playing Radiant Historia until my WKC packages arrive. _________________

anyone have any problems redeeming their white knight chronicles origins online play code? Mine doesn't work. About to send an email to Sony. My WKC2 one works, thankfully. Might not even need to play origins online actually but since i paid for the product... :/
Anyway looks like you can import data from Origins so makes sense to play origins before 2. _________________

I don't think I can get back into it either. You're right in that it's just completely meh. It's rare for me to completely drop a game but HDN is just plain awful in my opinion. I don't mind the voice acted scenes but it's not worth playing through the game just to see them.
Anyway, I resumed Atelier Rorona. I think I'm still on track for Astrid's Ending but I'll see. This game can be a little confusing so I may have missed something without noticing. I'm also waiting for The Witcher 2 which should hopefully arrive tomorrow or early next week. I'm really eager to start it.

I didn't realise that you didn't have to friendship level to 100 the shopkeepers to get Astrid's, what a blunder on my part, could had used the time for Sterk and Tantris.
Anyway the music in White Knight Chronicles Origins is great - like hymmnos =p As expected it follows a typical PSP RPG 'mission' based structure. _________________

But why would a UK code for WKC2 work but a WKC:O UK code doesn't? It's stupid imo :/ Maybe the server isn't up yet. Since I couldn't get the code working, I selected 'purchase code' from in-game and got an error message. So something is up. Anyway I'm not a fan of mission based game, I'll do origins after 2 now <_< btw origins has 0 action recharge time, it's like full active combat and the menu is just there to select commands. _________________

Indeed, I played a little of it yesterday, as it finally arrived. It's an interesting modification of the battle system.
The included code will only work with a UK PSN account. The code links to an item on that store which doesn't exist on ours, so you get an error message, the same goes for purchasing the online mode. A slightly different version of the game has been released in Australia, and so, it requires slightly different content. This happens occasionally with games, where we get a slightly different version of the game in comparison to the UK/Europe even though it's all still PAL. As such, I knew what the problem was, as soon as I tried to use my code. It seems that we have the same version of WKC2 as everyone else though. _________________

that's stupid, Sony should know that Australians don't buy PSP games locally. Hell EB's website doesn't even have a PSP category anymore. They assumed we all have PSPGos and bought Origins from PSN Store. O well as I said I'm not keen playing origins online. _________________

Yeah, it's pretty stupid, I agree. Considering that we get the same version of games as the UK/Europe 99% of the time, it's rather annoying when this happens. _________________

yessss can make tweaks to your WKC1 avatar one more time for free when you start WKC2 by importing. Cost $5 on PSN for the makeover ticket. As I said before WKC has the BEST customisation options, make's Dragon Age's one a joke. _________________

To add to chibiandy post, the Jpn version (not the PS3 edition) packs goodies. Though not exactly amazing as its ingame costumes and themes but its ~15-20aud more. I really like the PS3 though. Black and red looks better than white and pink.
I know its kindof wrong to post it here, but if anyone is done with an NTSC copy of Neptunia and is willing to part with it in the near future, please let me know. _________________ 「貧乳はステータスだ!希少価値だ!」 - 泉 こなた
