Who wants to play a game? I do. Maybe this was played before I arrived at PALGN, I'm not sure, but I'm bored and I'm totally stealing this topic off another forum. Original, eh? The stickied thread is more discussion based nowadays.

So, I'll embed a YouTube video of a song and you need to reply and give it a score out of ten. Follow that up with a music video of your choice, and the chain reaction begins. Pretty simple really.

I'm going to start with what I consider to be the greatest Australian band ever, alongside The Bad Seeds. Enjoy...and keep watching until the end.

Oh and one rule, keep Bieber out of here unless you want to feel the wrath of me and my bourbon.

Shit Warren Ellis is amazing.
9/10

I feel like a discovered Lenoard Choen way too late, all I knew about him was that he sung that hallelugha song. But been listening to him a lot latley and love this song.

100th Window is probably the weakest of Massive Attack's records. It has its moments, though. 6/10.

Keeping with a solemn theme, and staying in and around Bristol, here's Portishead with probably the saddest song they've ever written...

I would argue that it's the most under rated, but anyhoo. Anything by Portishead is an automatic 10/10 from me.

I enjoy listening to this song while having sex.

Tom Waits and Kool Keith.
Combining my love of Hip-hop and Tom Waits. (Also love the filmclip. It's like a filmclip made in De Blob.)

Solid beat, Tomb Waits and a really cool filmclip. I'm down. 8/10.

Now its time for some 70's prog rock. Crank that volume.

Ballroom Blitz....very odd song for it's time full of juxtaposition between the vocals and the in your face chorus section, if i didn't grow up with it i would probably want to burn it though 8/10.

Ballroom Blitz has always reminded me of American Psycho for some reason. Seedy clubs and lots of cocaine.

I swear I have a Paul Oakenfold mix of that song somewhere here. It's better than that version, I think. 5/10.

EDIT: Dammit, I was referring to Hand To Phone, not the Tea Party track.

This is either a long-lost krautrock song or something by Squarepusher...

5/10 - I really dislike Squarepushers directional shift into this type of music (and worse, the new stuff... just wow), Hello Everything was about the last album that I could stomach, and only just.

Poor Quality, but you'll have to deal with it 'cause fucked if I can find better:

It sounds like a really bad Rage Against The Machine or John Lydon knockoff or something. Really not my thing. I'm sure the kids like it, though. 4/10.

Now for something from the world's greatest living muslim rock guitarist...

Even if you don't like the song, pay attention to his guitar playing. It is sublime.

Muslim rock guitarist? Dude is skilled but there wasn't much happening. Really not my thing. I'm sure the kids like it, though. 4/10.

This is my favourite psychedelic rock song of all time. Haunting, as some of the comments suggest. Heard of it through an updated and remixed version but the original is best.

I give you Colonel Bagshot - Six Day War, from their only album back in 1971. No official video but this will do.

^Nice, mellow, relaxed tune that soothes the senses. I dig it, especially prior to hitting the hay. 8/10.

This is a group that I have been listening to for years now. I paint and do other creative things while this plays in the background and reminds me much of Europe and home back there.

Beltaine - Shan Van Voght

Why do females insist on doing metal vocals? It's a 6/10 if I filter the horrid voice out in my mind.

And now, music I've been working to:

^Love it. Funny you say Error is unusual, then post NIN. Error is from Atticus Ross, who you might know, collaborates with Reznor.
