MGS and ZOE HD Collections for PS3/360

Can't wait for the MGS HD Collection, will be a real test of my memory... unlike other games that i havn't played in ages (like the Sierra games - Police Quest, Leisure Suit Larry that i'll never forget what to do to progress), i havn't played MGS 2 or 3 for years and would probably get stuck more times than i'd like to admit.

The prospect of playing Metal Gear 3 without it looking like trash on my HD TV is the most excited I've been about games in a long time.

I love it that much.

The narrative, the characters, THE MUSIC and the way its directed are so perfect. I just genuinely love the Metal Gear world.

Looks like they're just going to stretch HUD elements for widescreen, unless they fix that between now and November. Some new textures would be nice, but otherwise, I pretty much agree with apache2

i can't really notice a difference in the PS2 part besides 16:9....Am I blind?

Edit: ahuh, the background looks better. Ok I am sold. MGS3 upscaled will be amazing.

It's basically Metal Gear Kai.

They're taking something a lot of people love and saying 'Hey, we're cleaning it up for you and redrawing a few things so the product looks presentable in 1080p.'

Kojima's not reinventing the wheel here. It's a cool little fan service for die-hards, 360 owners and people who haven't played MGS2/3 because they're older games or haven't experienced Peace Walker because they don't own a PSP (ME!!!!!)

I don't really mind, all Substance added was Skateboarding and some VR missions and all we'd get in Subsistance is that 3D camera no? I lived without that for 10 playthroughs, I can live without it for a few more

Day 1 purchase for the MGS collection.When I get this I will have 3 versions of MGS2 and 3.I have MGS2, MGS2S, MGS3, MGS3S on PS2, all in great condition.

I'm gonna LOVE playing these again with trophies.I might even beat MGS2 on Extreme again.

I hope they add online play to the multiplayer mode of ZOE2. I thought it was really well made apart from balancing issues, i mean come on, anubis, jehuty v2 or naked jehuty... the other orbital frames don't really compare in a one on one fight. Ahh memories of zero shifting in that final vortex stage with the background music in versus mode. I hope they add trophy support for the challenge missions but i doubt it. ZOE1 is a bit meh, it's just about making sure you don't fire off your charged shot at a building full of innocent people by accident.
